They could've have a better poster lols. Looks like a tribute one haha. They could have used the last pic with Billie Jean costume and that's it, more simple
 
Interesting how they're trying to work around the nose situation.

The way they've tried to replicate MJ's natural nose using prosthetics looks a bit uncanny on Jafaar, and the assumedly CGI altered nose in this Vanity Fair screenshot looks equally... strange. Hopefully they manage to polish everything off between now and April

I get that but if theres no artistic merit or artistic identity the film will just come and go and have no legacy or lasting impact. It will be a one time watch at best.
 
This looks great.

The poster is dreadful. How can they approve such a poster. - The fan made posters are way better.

BUT - the trailer/teaser...!! Absolutely stunning.

MJ was so unique and special. No actor, CGI or anything could ever look like him. And hi appereance changed a lot. Impossible to recreate.

IMO - not neccesary though. The voice, the movements - it's all MJ. So after 5 minutes I think I will not think about it at all and my mind will simply just accept it's MJ.

The atmosphere, the exitement, the build up - it's really done well in the teaser.

I was very sceptical about this movie. - Now I am honestly just exited and can't wait. I think it will be great.

Maybe. He has that gold thing on the beltline of his pants like on Bad Tour. Also the indoor arena doesn't seem accurate. To me it looks odd mix between MITM L.A 89 and Dangeous Tour. :D
 
The trailer looks better than I expected, I’ll give it that. Jafaar looks like he’s doing a very convincing job playing Michael and the music intercut with the footage gave me chills.

Now with that being said, this looks like the usual paint by numbers biopic. Just like bohemian rhapsody, the live bits looks like a soundstage and not like he’s actually performing in front of a crowd. I did like the crowd reaction though. And to the pink elephant in the room, no 90s. The rumors must be right to some extent.

I think I’m at fault here for buying the talks from the actors, producers and directors about this movie being told so he can finally be understood. I wasn’t expecting some court procedural drama but something deeper than this. I try to keep in mind that this is only the first teaser and it didn’t show that much. So we’ll see.

Overall, a good first teaser with good performances. I’m going to watch this in cinema regardless (wearing my sequined glove and fedora hat)
 
Jaafar’s nose is bothering me a bit , it’s like they have purposely made it even bigger and wider? During the recording of Thriller for example , I don’t think his nose was as wide as that?

Another thing , it makes you appreciate how good looking a man MJ actually was, he looks cuter than Jaafar (and Jaafar is a good looking dude) his features are softer and more pretty.

That Motown 25 footage looks epic , the colour scheme totally matches , the Bad tour footage looks quite a bit more cgi.

It’s only a teaser so forgive me for nitpicking
 
For those who are sure that there won't be anything post Bad: have you see Colman Domingo in the teaser? But he is the main part of Michael's childhood and youth in the movie. So let's just wait a full trailer and the movie.

it ends in 1989, part 2 is gonna happen if the movie is a financial success

I don’t know. I mean not a single frame of anything 90s or 00s? Not one? That’s a bit disconcerting and even telling. As you said, it’s only a teaser so we won’t truly know for sure until we see the real trailer and movie.
