"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

I find this a nice analysis of the trailer plot and it's messages by Jael Rucker:

Maybe helpful to those who, like me, cannot process all the impressions stuffed into those two minutes while watching.

German trailer. I think they got Michael´s voice okay! Much better than in other German movies / projects

Didn't like the German voice over version. Voice is just okay and overall sound just not as satisfying. Unfortunately I will have to watch that one since I will take my kids.

Je sais qu'une deuxième partie n'est pas garantie, mais ce serait génial s'ils commençaient le film par la performance du Super Bowl !😮‍💨

Non, je ne m'attends pas à ce que ça sorte avant le printemps 2028 au plus tôt.
2027

I know a second part isn't guaranteed, but how cool wouldn't it be if they opened that movie with the Super Bowl performance. 😮‍💨

Yeah, no. I wouldn't expect it to come out until Spring 2028 at the earliest.
I believe (almost) everything needed for part 2 has been already filmed. Why would it need that much time?

I find it hard to believe that they set out to film multiple films concurrently, especially since the original images were of the Dangerous Tour and not the Bad Tour. Also it's unlikely that it wouldn't have leaked that there was another film being filmed at the same time.

I believe that anything filmed was filmed for the original shooting script, which was for 1 film. What we will be seeing is a revised screenplay. I could be wrong, but this production seems to weird to me. We will know after the film is released and when the screenplays are leaked.

I don't think the sequel has been filmed. Yes they will use footage that was meant for this but I find it hard to believe they could just edit that to be full movie.
The rough cut was reportedly over four hours -and this was before all of the reshoots and additional shoots. Not saying they won't need to shoot new material, but there is already a LOT in the can that is not being including in the upcoming release. Remember, it was still intended to be a 'life to death' biopic even after principal photography had completed.

I hope you are right but they probably didn't film a lot from 2000s. I think we would know if they did. Maybe there was a big time jump to 2009.

I think they'll probably have some footage they can re-use but they will most definitely need to film additional scenes. They didn't plan to make two movies so I doubt they'd be able to piece another movie together just using the leftover stuff.

Is that CGI drone footage in the trailer supposed to be Gary? Looks more like some Russian Cold War town

It’s so unrealistic.

a comment on YouTube from someone with an MJ avatar, Movie of the decade!! This film will make 3.5 billion at the box office . MJ lovers and haters will go to the theatre to watch the outcome (this will be the film of the decade)
🙈🙈

That's not correct.
