"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Honestly I feel sick at those reviews.

I knew this is exactly what they were gonna do but it’s ridiculous how bad they genuinely are.

IGN , 3/10? Come on to ****!?? Surely it’s not that bad. The fan reaction is what matters most but this feels like an agenda against the MJ name.

Reviews are even worse than I’d imagined.

Critically panned 😢
If you need validation from pretencious snobby out of touch critics then you will cry over their reviews

But those of us who stopped caring what hollyweird thought years ago, especially those of us who have watched them pan every movie with a black cast for decades will just roll our eyes and ignore them as usual.

If anything I am even more excited now. I might go and see it some more times. Help make it more of a success so they can look even more stupid
Yep! I'm seeing it multiple times. Screw the critics. We all knew they'd do this. They don't see any humanity in MJ and want him to be portrayed as a depraved sick monster. Since this film doesn't do that, they are panning it. They hate Michael's guts.

They wish he'd dissappear or be solely remembered for the controversies.

Am I surprised they're panning the movie? Not at all. I'm not sad. I'm annoyed but not surprised.

MJ's legacy has kept on thriving IN SPITE of the disgusting, hateful media.

1- Is there too much Branca?

2- Is Toy a big character? Does she have a story arc?

3- Do they skip over a lot of Bad era or there's some screentime dedicated to it?

4- Is there a lot of Off The Wall era on screen? I heard they cut off the Studio 58 scenes...

5- Do we get the Jermaine left the band drama?

6- Do they pretend Rebbie, Janet and Randy don't exist?

Stevie Wonder Arrives to the 'Michael" movie premiere:

I find it really nice and positive to see so many long time celebrities coming to the premiere - Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Usher, ... This really is very positive and I would guess people will acknowledge them rather than acknowledging what critics say. I have never paid attention to any critic when deciding to see anything. They don't really matter to me.

1. don’t think so, the scenes involving him were funny.
2. not really
3. there is no Bad era, just the performance. Bad era is for part 2 I reckon.
4.I don’t know what a lot is, but there is some stuff
5. No
6. They are just not there, it’s mostly focused on Michael

It’s been almost 2 weeks since I watched it and can’t wait to see it again in only 6 hours!

I don't care about the reviews or even the biopic that much buy I saw a review calling him ***** in the title. I cannot believe this is STILL happening in this day and age. Something has to be done.

And btw, everyone will pan it, guys - don't know why you guys expected anything else.

Just an easter egg from the first teaser, not in the movie (not even the handwritten note)
Missed opportunity & huge disappointment!

It would have taken less than a minute of screentime to explain the backstory of HS (already finished song; too much playtime on the LP; MJ fighting for inclusion etc.). Could haven been a massive summer hit if released alongside the theatrical run of the biopic. *smh*

They are exposing themselves by doing shit like this

Let s use this topic for box-office forecasts and actual numbers.

The movie is projected at a 3-days opening weekend in the US in the range of 70-90 millions $. I think It will get above the 100 millions $ mark though, with 250 millions Worldwide.
Pre-sales in China already account for 590k $, better numbers than JW Rebirth ( which eventually did 80 millions $).

The movie is going to be released tomorrow in France, where I think It could top the 5 millions tickets sold. MJ is even bigger in the UK.

I want to believe it will top the billion $ mark in the end of its run.
The sequel needs 700 millions to be secured.

Let's go !
thank you si much for that !!,us opening weekend more than 100M$ for me and 280M
worldwide !!,don't forget without the 2 Big
market south Korea ( june 11) and japan
( june 12)!!!, tomorrow the first numbers
from France m'y country number 1 market
in Europe !!!!!

not a lot of studio time during the movie, so hot street being in there (in studio) instead of any other iconic mj songs would’ve felt misplaced. You’ll get what I’m saying once you’ve seen it

Even without the anti-MJ bias some reviewers have, and their (defensible?) opinion that the movie would have been better had it been something other than a hagiography, the writing was on the wall that this wouldn't be a good film. Half of it had to be reshot mid-production, and it was obvious the template chosen by the studio/Estate was the commercially-successful but artistically-dreadful Queen biopic.
