Michael Jackson - Number Ones | Pre-Order Now!

Bad, HIStory, Blood On The Dance Floor and Invincible will get SACD/Vinyl reissues by MoFi soon. Bad will be a One-Step, the rest will be released on standard vinyl
Where is the info from? That's for sure

I’m probably not picking this one up...
Key sentence which I'm fairly certain applies to the great majority of people here.
I am sorry, but this product is clearly not for me, so I won't celebrate it.
Reissuing this album is a good idea on paper until you realize the estate is definitely going to release a soundtrack for the biopic too. Then this release just becomes utterly pointless.

Good for the people that wanted a copy of this and didn't own "Twelves" already I guess.

Kinda off topic but very much looking forward to the future mofi stuff
I'm looking forward to Bad especially, I think the original masters already sound perfect, so I'm really curious about what they're going to do!
The fact that Bad is part-digital also means we'll get some funny spectrograms for the SACD. (Massive blank space above 20kHz lmao)

$59,99 for Blood and Invincible, $119,99 for HIStory and $125 for Bad

a mint HIStory and Blood costs around 450, Invincible 250

Right, because who wouldn’t want to pay $60 for Blood and $119 for HIStory?

These are standard albums — they should be sold at standard prices. Most people don’t even own a setup that can properly use MoFi-quality vinyl.

Well, I would pay it for BOTDF, because I don't have it yet and to find an affordable one in good condition is quite a task. Supply and demand... of course they could do another pressing of the standard vinyl, that's for sure. HIStory is a different topic because there won't be new pressings that are uncensored.

well it‘s actually noise in the ultrasonics due to the 1-bit pulse density modulation capture using noise shaping

I’m willing to bet that the movie soundtrack will be similar to the Bohemian Rhapsody one, meaning the songs will be “remixed” and/or taken from live recordings. Plus the track selection won’t be the same as on Number Ones.

I just don’t see how this is seen as a bad thing. It’s fine to not be in the target audience, but Number Ones is one of MJ’s most popular projects outright and it’s objectively a good thing to press it on vinyl. Man, I wish it wasn’t so pessimistic around here sometimes.

Yeah but there is a problem…
Just had a phone call with Branca..
He said quote: „the soundtrack will not included any live mixes because MJ actually never really did a tour… So we have to use Cascio tracks… they are totally real and mj fans have no clue what they talk about“.

🤷🏼‍♂️

… what? Lmao what does this even mean

I know I go to bat for the estate more than I realistically should, but this truly seems like excessive negativity for the sake of acknowledging that they generally suck.

I agree!
I have a record player at home, and every now and then, someone gets me a greatest hits record of an artist I am not a huge fan of. I really enjoy that. I am not that much into Elvis Presley, for example, but someone got me a vinyl record with famous tunes ... and I enjoyed listening to that. I think greatest hits collections are specifically meant for non-fans. So I think it's positive news that Number Ones is available on vinyl. There simply should be a greatest hits collection available of vinyl!

NOBODY INCLUDING THE GENERAL PUBLIC WANTS TO KEEP BUYING THE SAME SONGS OVER AND OVER!!!! If they wanna be creative with the soundtrack....they should hire AZURA. If you havent listened.....check out these
