Can you guys think of any times his name was brought in media. By media I don't mean the news, I mean reality T.V., cartoon series, chat show etc. Was it a surprise that he was named dropped on that particular show or by that particular person?

E.g. He mentioned several times in the past on Big Brother U.K.

He's been on South Park quite a few times. There was an episode from Season 8 (2004) that largely defended him against the allegations actually, Season 13 (2009) and last year as a hologram (Season 18). I remember his name was also dropped in a Season 2 episode (1998) as well.

Not really a surprise since South Park parodies everything and anything, but still pretty cool. I remember there was a Simpsons episode where Bart and Milhouse break into Ned Flander's house and they find a room completely decked out with Beatles merchandise. Homer comes in later and goes over to some bobbleheads of the fab four, puts on falsetto voice and goes "Now I'm Michael Jackson! I own all your songs! Hee-hee-hee!".

When it comes to movies, I also remember watching Back to the Future II a few months back and there's crammed with MJ references, I remember Marty McFly broke into his house in an alternative timeline, only to find out it was someone else's house. Anyway, the room he broke into was a kid's room and full of Michael Jackson Thriller posters etc. Of course there's that 80s bar that plays Beat It and has some weird MJ like animation on the TV screens. The Rush Hour series (especially #2 I think) has many MJ references too.

That's a few off the top of my head.

Someone here is an "Orange is the New Black" fan and wrote about Michael references. Show's writer is Buz Kohan's daughter.

Theos room in Cosby has a Billie Jean poster. One of the best episodes is when the married daughter went to the Bad Tour show and her husband came home with all sorts of stuff for their baby: an album, t-shirt, hat and a copy of Moonwalker. Lol.

And NCIS had an episode where LL Cool J was the proud owner of one of Michael's gloves.

Empire has mentioned both Michael and the Jackson 5 a lot.

I live in Pakistan and he's been referred to quite a few times - within the Indo-Pak Subcontinent. Most of them have a funny context but none are that offensive.

Anyway here are some pictures :D

Plus there are occasional references like something about his date of birth related to his huge success etc etc.

There's an episode of the sitcom Martin, where Martin gets in a fight with "Mike".

On a Cosby Show episode where Denise makes Theo a knockoff shirt, when Theo asks his parents for the original shirt that was expensive, Cliff tells him that the only way a teenage boy needs a shirt that costly is if he is onstage with his 4 brothers.

On Diff'rent Strokes, there's a picture of The Jacksons (Victory era) in Arnold's room on one of the later seasons with Sam.

On Married With Children, when Al Bundy gets in a fight with a gang, Beat It plays. I think there's another episode where the Bundys go to a museum or something and sees Mike's "old nose" on display.

Lol. I remember that-that line was hilarious-and delivered perfectly.
