Michael Jackson’s Life Getting Movie Treatment

The only thing I’d be worried about is the choice of make up, I hope they use the exact make up which was used in “The Man In The Mirror” film, use professional makeup and not use one that looks like flour.
 
It's inevitable that this would happen, especially with the popularity of music biopics right now. I don't think they should cover Michael's entire life though. That's something that would be more suitable for a mini-series like Jacksons: American Dream. Of course, if it gets made and a trailer comes out and I get a bad sense from it, then I'm probably going to steer clear of the movie. Biopics tend to be dramatized for entertainment value. That's just the nature of biopics, so I'd think Michael's biopic would be no different. However, at the same time, it can potentially be a blessing as well if done right (which will be tricky to do). Mostly because I don't know about anyone else, but usually when I watch a biopic, I like to go and research afterward to learn more and see what was true in the movie and what's not. If people did that for Michael's film, and I'm sure some will out of curiosity, that can only be a good thing. I think what's needed is for Michael to be humanized. People have been brainwashed by the media caricature that's been put out there. If the movie can focus on Michael's true self, then that can be really good for Michael, and make people realize he was not the man they were led to believe. Hollywood has to allow that to happen though.

I haven&#8217;t checked if the articles are 100% positive. But their choice of photos suggests that they now believe that nice photos of MJ will bring them more clicks than bad ones. :)

Sure, I understand that, and that's important also (very important actually, a tool for manipulation as well), and it's good to see lately it's for the better. :)

I've just noticed that positive articles/reactions often go almost unnoticed, as fans concentrates their effort (somewhat understandably) on flat out lies/ignorant comments, to clarify them with proof. It would be important to give positive feedback to positivity too.

I could speak for a while and raise many different points regarding how problematic this is.

But I would say, the popularity of films relative to each other should be considered in number of tickets sold, or the gross adjusted for inflation.

I believe this positive outcome is part of the reason that the Estate decided to roll with it for now. I mean, they aren&#8217;t exactly going out of their way to deny the rumors. There&#8217;s not even a tweet on the official MJ Twitter. It&#8217;s also a great chance for them to test the waters for such a project.

I just really can't see how this could have a good outcome. If there had been an intent to do justice to MJ it could have been done during the past 30 years. Think about it: US MSM heavily promoted LN while didn't write a word about the many inconsistencies in it. Why would all this change suddenly for the better?!

It might change simply because Michael is dead. People miss him, and they (the public) dont know what they have got untill its gone unfortunately .


Update -If it was to be done like some fans suggested /discussed on twitter. Real footage and directed by the people who knewhim, i.e . His children and immediate family. Im really sceptical otherwise !
