I just saw the new EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert that is in theaters and it was just amazing. It was directed by Baz Luhrmann who made the biopic. Maybe Estate should try to get someone like Antoine Fuqua or Spike Lee to do something similar with Michael. Michael filmed hours and hours of 35mm footage behind the scenes and audience stuff included so I hope they can do it. If there just isn't a full concert then this is a good compromise. It can be a documentary at the same time. Bad Tour or Victory Tour maybe. The amazing HD footage seen in Thriller 40 documentary makes me think that Victory Tour could be the most likely one:

Agreed! That would be amazing. I hope that after the biopic comes out and if it succeeds, they will consider something like this.
 
When I saw The Beatles: Eight Days a Week at the cinema there was 30 mins of bonus footage at the end, which was a full concert (I think Shea Stadium).I don't think that footage was included on the home release.

The film is amazing, and I went to see it twice. But sadly MJ lip-synched so much over the years that most of his concert footage would be unusable.

That wouldn't be a problem with Victory and Bad Tour. Also we’ve barely seen any film footage from Dangerous Tour so its likely that tapes were mostly used to document it. It might not be the best choice for a cinema release.

MJ definitely needs some kind of concert performance type film/documentary to released in the IMAX format. I saw Prince's 'Sign 'O' The Times' concert film in IMAX several months back and while I had seen the film before, this was like a whole new experience. The picture and especially the sound were popping off so hard that I couldn't sit still, and neither could what little else of the audience there were in the auditorium that night. It was a late night screening and I almost had the place to myself! Being able to see MJ performing live in an environment like that on a large screen with that type of audio clarity would be a dream!

I did see EPiC but unfortunately the theater I saw it in was less than ideal and not what I would consider an optimal IMAX experience. I didn't have much of a choice since the film wasn't playing in any of the good theaters near me so I saw it in a nearly dead mall in another town with a theater that advertised it as 'IMAX'. It was essentially a standard auditorium with creaky seats that had been ghetto rigged to be 'IMAX'. It didn't look like it had been truly renovated since the 90s

The effort would never make the estate the coal runs through Mj one Show las Vegas the Mj Musical and upcoming biopic
 
A shame it has not been done given by some crazy coincidence all the popular concerts from 1984 to 1997 were subpar for the given year. People have yet to see how much of a great performer MJ truly was.
 

I'm so jealous that George Michael's Faith Tour is finally being released later this year and in cinemas as well apparently.

Imagine if they did this with the Bad Tour
 
Yeah ! Not interested in watching Myles frost, Jafer Jackson, the guy who was behind the fake hologram or any other person playing Mike. Neither, interested in re-releases of Thriller or compilation of the old hits for the dozenth time.

At 46, I've made peace that, the only unseen footage and unreleased music we gonna get it, is through fan leaks. And I'm hoping that fans do a good job of Reimagining, Reconstructing, Remastering and finishing such content, as they've been doing compared to big name producers messing up his work like we've seen.
 
Yes agree that the Epic movie was really great and it would be cool if something similar
was done for the King Of Pop.
Sadly I have no reason to watch the Michael thing next month…I much rather watch things
like This Is It instead.
