Michael - The Great Album Debate

Have you guys checked out the list of songs Michael wrote down that's found in the Carolwood home?

No surprise. None of the Cascio tracks was on that list.

Oh wow! that list! I wanna hear them! :wild:

yeah, no surprise the Cascio tracks were nowhere to be found...Must be all on Jason Malachi's list :D

That's because Michael instructed them to erase all the traces. :ninja:

:lmao:I'm telling you some of the song names are so intriguing. Like, Ghost of Another Lover, Lady of Summer, Silent Spring, Dark Lady. Omg. Where are these songs??? Did Michael lay down vocal???

If he didn't, I don't wanna hear them :ninja:

@grent

about your conclusion

didn't the sale happened at May? so why would Eddie been working on the songs in August if he had already sold them in May?

If that's really the case (May), then it's a good point.

and how would he have access to MJ masters to copy / paste the adlibs?

Well, I really do not know. Is it possible, MJ gave Eddie some stuff himself, like to play around with it as an upcoming producer? Did MJ own the Invincible master tapes?

like guide vocals ? they tend to be boring and lacking

Considering how MJ wrote/produced/recorded songs, this seems to be very unlikely.
He had a sonic vision of his songs. It wasn't about some plain guide vocals. Except maybe at songs he didn't write, like - mostly slower songs - like Fall Again. And even that sounds like ... Michael Jackson. ;) And we have talking on the record. Also, this "guide vocals" buzzword ... falls right in to the "processing" category.

I'm sure, MJ did not record 'guide vocals' without breathing, since breaths (and I don't mean "d'ah") were sampled before lines !!

And I don't see where Grent mentioned about Eddie working on the tracks in August.

Well, to be fair, I didn't mention it, but since I mentioned the possibility of the protools-sessions being the material that was handed over - dating August - I'd tend to think, Eddie worked on the tracks in August. However ! You can't be sure. As you said, opening the file and resaving it after minor changes (like adding some meta data by some Sony executive) would change the date stored in the file.

True.

But, this is am interesting discovery. It gives us an idea what songs Michael had in mind in 2009.

The noose is tightening! Let's get some more proper 2007/2008 demos and those that have been fooled by Cascio should finally give up. Whether hearing MJ '100%', '70%', 'behind Porte' or whatever.

When did MJ ever do 12 songs with someone and not consider a single one for future projects? I mean, 12 ? Those who love Monster and believe MJ did it ... what do you think about MJ not considering that jewel at all ? In 2009 it's only 2 years since he recorded those strong and convincing vocals ...

They also tend to sound like Michael Jackson.

12 tracks that Michael was so pleased with that he ordered all other traces to be destroyed, yet he had clearly forgotten all about these wonderful masterpieces less than two years later.

And where has this guide vocal nonsense suddenly come from? Or is just another attempt to explain why the songs sound nothing like Michael, yet identical to Jason?

Just popping in to say thanks to all keeping this 'debate' going. I am so glad and hopeful the truth will come out fully soon. That list of tracks is AWESOME and it is very telling indeed that not a single Cascio track is on that rather long list... What did Eddie say about MJ wanting to complete 'their'' album in London? Sure Eddie in your friggin imagination only.. ...

That excuse was there very early on, as far as I remember. It's a sibling to the excuses 'illness' and 'didn't even try to sound good'.

The funny thing is, it's not even a Malachi guide vocal. You can clearly hear that those vocals are from someone trying hard / struggling.

Slowly but surely the lies are falling apart.

How can this thread NOT be turned into a Cascio discussion ? :ermm:

The good thing about 'Michael' is that 4 songs (The way you love me, Hold my hand, Hollywood tonight, Best of Joy) were at least on that list from 2009, which was for sure a list for a new MJ album during or after the This is it concerts.

Not on the list:
- Jason Malachi songs (surprise ! :D)
- Another Day (I find this a little surprising, however MJ didn't seem to remember the title of his Gibb collab either)
- Behind the Mask (well, this is an 80ies cut and as opposed to Cheater has obviously not been fully reworked/rerecorded)
- Much to soon (also quite old, however the vocals sound mature, like > 1990)

Feels like Cascio destroyed 'Michael' even more (if that's even remotely possible).
But how can he be to blame, since he's obviously nuts?
The estate and Sony should have stopped this.

And now those 12 songs are officially registered as Michael Jackson songs with the BMI. All 12. Also Fall in Love. Can you imagine ?

"I don't know whether to love or cry."

Now, how can the believers turn this list into the "evidence coming real soon" ? :D
Or: What excuses are to expect ?

Oh, I know. This was the list for 2012. 2009 would have been all Cascio.

I haven't checked the registration date for Another Day, but if I'm not mistaken the song was intended for Invincible, so I am not surprised it's not on a recent list.

The closest title we have in comparison witth the Cascio songs is H2O, but the details regarding the registration of the song don't match at all.

Yep, Invincible outtake.

I also spotted Rock Tonight (Burn 2nite?) and Black Lady (Black Widow?)

OMG Water is on there!!!

Wait... It's H2O or DARK LADY H2O

When I saw "Rock Tonight" I almost misread as Burn Tonight!

Why would rock tonight be burn 2nite? Because of the word "tonight"? The same for Black Lady, because of the word "black"?

I don't think we could draw conclusions from a simple word as there are also other songs which aren't related:

-rock with you
-you rock my world

-black or white
-men in black

-bad
-2bad

He often reworked outtakes from the albums before. And since Another Day was quite finished and Lenny said is was simply to heavy (or something like that) for Invincible, but still in my opinion very strong ... let's put it that way: I wouldn't be surprised if it was on the list.

MJ also reworked Escape in 2003 I think. Could also be on the list. Also: we don't see the whole list - I wish there was some way we could !!

Sorry, but that is ridiculous. Seems like irrational behaviour from a believer.
Also I'm sure H2O has nothing to do with Water.

I gladly admit I was utterly wrong when it comes out that those titles are related to Cascio.
Has to be more than Cascio saying "it's him" on Oprah though. ;)

ha mj's got doctor's handwriting. i just feel like his brain is probably so preoccupied with creativity that he doesn't really process spelling conventions or penmanship.

it's funny, when you look at stuff he's written in the past, sometimes he'll write the same word twice and spell it correctly one time, and misspell it the second time. I find it fascinating that he switches between capitals and lowercase and script and print too. that's not very common in the general public. that's supposed to be a sign of extreme creativity or also of people who are mentally different.

but i digress. i don't think handwriting analysis is actual science, and i'm definitely no expert. it's just kind of interesting.

^^ya, mj's just not great at spelling, so that's why that "c" is in dark. it's not like he doesn't know how to spell "dark," i just feel like his brain is probably so preoccupied with creativity that he doesn't really process spelling conventions.

Actually it is very common. Well in any case from my own experience I can tell you that many people mix up letters not knowing the importance or even the difference why we use different kinds of letters. It has nothing to do with creativity though :)

I think it's very telling that not a single Cascio track is listed there but to be fair there is no will.i.am collaborations either.
(The Future, I am still the king, and miss you).
