Michael - The Great Album Debate

I need some water, water!!!

You guys are so hilarious!

I agree with Jesta about Breaking News always getting in my head, it's mostly that beat at the very beginning with that cool start and also the "hee-hee-hee" at the end. :D

Could you even begin to imagine WBSS as a casico track?.....

Mama say mama sa mama got you in a zig zag?

These songs are killing up the life in me. I find myself a victim of the game. But no matter what I just wanna feed it again, oh no.

I like the 'oh no' part...Very effective...I can really feel ?the emotion...

I don't feel any emotion whatsoever in any Cascio song. And I really mean that. It's soulless. The singer is like a monkey doing his trick.

ETA: You guys are cracking me up, btw!!

^^ hahaha...I feel the same...I was being totally sarcastic ...

....and it's obvious as to why we don't feel any emotion :mello:

That's what I've always felt, like they artificially sucked out the emotion that should be there. Of course, that opinion was when I was a believer, but it still sounds like it's like Mecha Jackson singing.

Weirdly enough, with all the autotuning and what not in 'Take Me Away', I can still feel the soul in Michael's voice...It's just not something that's easily masked...

So, there you go...Processing just doesn't cut it as an excuse...

quote interview Michael USA-today 2001:

"I never think about themes. I let the music create itself. I like it to be a potpourri of all kinds of sounds, all kinds of colors, something for everybody, from the farmer in Ireland to the lady who scrubs toilets in Harlem".

Potpourri of all sounds, so where does 'Burn Tonight' fit in? Is this what came to Teddy Riley's mind when he was in the studio surrounded by Michael's pictures?

Mecha Jackson is Jason Malachi, Jason Malachi is the King of Cringe, he needs tons of audio processing and manipulation to sound like a real singer, that's why he sounds so mechanical.

Hihi..yeah...you could hear that in the last life performance that was posted on MaxJax. Wasn't the song called "All that you need"? Really hurts my ears.

Yeah, ouch, and his Cleveland performance he gave? And that How I Do performance? And Room 2 Breathe? Like I said, King of Cringe.

You know, I don't like to bring artists down. He trying his best too. But it's unavoidable and unfortunately neccesary when people are saying his voice is Michael's. And then still, if you point the differences out (ridiculous that that's needed, btw), people are not really listening.

Eddie Cascio was Michael's friend. I honestly ask myself if he ever really listened to Michael's singing or his thoughts about music. Very hard to believe that, otherwise he'd know Michael's singing was unique.

I just think Eddie and Teddy are both possibly under the impression that the mystery and controversy is actually a good thing. I think they believe, in a delusional way, that it's actually benefiting, adding to the legacy.

And then there's the possibility that Michael actually did record little tiny bits or rough starts of these songs, or just recorded little ideas. He could have recorded a couple takes of random lines and then they took them and made songs out of them, exaggerating the songs, you know.

I really don't know how they did it, what's all real and stuff, what Michael heard about or knew, but I just know it seems like 90% likely to me that Jason sang leads on these songs.

There's that 10% that can always be proven wrong by definite proof. If they can prove it to me, or if they're honest that Jason sang over Michael's parts, or whatever it is, I will change my mind.

I've just thought long enough about this, and my conclusion makes most sense to me from all I've read and heard.

I don't know what to think..If they are deliberately trying to fool people or not. Just don't know. I liked Teddy in the beginning, the loving way he talked about Michael and he probably meant that, so...very confusing all this.

Yup. Michael can be on there somewhere...who knows. Don't hear him though. Yes, I have the feeling they're not honest too, unlike for instance Neff-U. That guy beams honesty. I've not doubted one single word that comes from his mouth, unlike Teddy and Eddie.

*still can't post smilies. Gotta do something about that when I have a bit more time. Furreigner... can't do without them...:)

The thing with Teddy, and the difference between him and Neff-U, I think, is Teddy isn't as genuine a person. I don't know this to be true for certain, I don't know the guy, but from what I've gathered, he seems to put on kind of an act.

Neff-U, like you say, beams honesty. He doesn't seem clever and deceitful.

Eddie seems like a genuine guy to me, but not like Neff-U, and he certainly has suspicious behavior about him. He's not just open and honest and excited to talk about things. He seems like he's being too selective with his words, like he's lying.

All my opinion, of course. :)

Yes Arklove he was there pushing buttons. The copy and paste buttons!!

Talking to Jason: Cuz ur getting on my nerves, it's like I never hear a single word (of MJ), listen close to me... Gimme some Room 2 Breathe!

Jason: "JUST MAKIN IT CLEARER..."

Jason you sing too clearly...

To my manager or whoever: Come on and take me away.

To be honest I find although the lyrics of songs like Burn Tonight are horrible, the instrumentation and production is pretty catchy. I like the strings and synthesizer (in the "no matter what") in Breaking News and the strings in Burn Tonight.

Why does Jason make snort/farting sounds? Let's translate Eddie's language.

Eddie said: Michael recorded vocals in the shower.
Translation from Eddielese - Jason recorded vocals while going to the washroom!

In Burn Tonight what does Jason mean when he says let's drown again?

you guys crack me up. lol

and yea, Take me Away really......blows the "the vocals were processed" debate off the wall?

EDIT: In context do you guys believe that Take me Away by NathanJay was taken down becuase he was processing MJ's Vocals? With that it could prove if you do that...MJ will still sound like MJ. Then more people will believe that the cascio songs are fake...which is a loss of money for Sony.
