Don't be jealous.
Not true. All I Need and Stay, for example, have no samples from old songs. I don't think Burn Tonight, Fall in Love, Ready 2 Win and some others have them either but I'm not as sure.Every single Cascio song contains ad libs from other genuine songs.

But I find that the defining line as to which songs make the album cut.
So pleased regarding Cirque. A little victory for common sense. Hopefully they will weigh up all these concerns when it comes to picking the next album tracklisting and won't use any more of these god forsaken tracks. Also means they won't appear on the Cirque soundtrack if we get one.
I wouldn't call it a new "development". They have already reacted to the controversy by dropping the singles "Keep Your Head Up" and "Monster" in the first place, that's when they acknowledged the controversy. I think this is far more important, especially for the doubters.
^^Aww... The Captain E.O. shirt looks cool, Jesta!!!
Both you and Michael look great.
awww...Jesta, you look awesome...You stud muffin, you![]()
For me, the significance of the MJOnline Team's response is its directness. The statement reads like "Okay fans. We hear you. We realize the Cascio songs are too controversial. To make the show as perfect as it should be, along with other changes, we are going to remove the songs. So, the show will not be stained by the controversy." Now, we know that the Estate is willing to address our concerns in a much more transparent manner. I applaud their swift action this time.
I am glad the songs are removed, but I don't applaud the Estate at all. They are responsible for all this mess along with the Cascios and SONY.
True. But, what happened cannot be undone. So, I can only hope that the Estate learn from this mishap and do not repeat in the future. Their swift action in removing the songs from the Cirque show setlist is a positive reinforcement.
I agree...It shows they're at least listening (maybe a little too late?)...But the removal of the songs are an acknowledgement of that...Although, removal of the songs in the first place when the whole mess started with the fans' reactions would have been better....But at least it's ?something...

Agreed, though by the time the album was announced and Breaking News streamed, the process of physically creating the album had already begun and thus even with the bad publicity, they couldn't stop the release.
They could have done something though....I mean, they had already started rehearsals with Monster and BN (and how long had they rehearsed these songs?), and when fans complained, the songs were surprisingly and quickly removed, which means now they have to incorporate new songs and choreography, sets, etc, and the first show is in, what, a few weeks? ...So, they could have done something in the beginning with the album...Even postpone...However, the album obviously wasn't for the fans but for the general public...
It's only now that they've realized what they've gotten themselves into. It's better late than never.
I must disagree on that one. It can be undone by a public announcement that those tracks are not MJ's work and do the necessary to retract the CDs from the stores and remove the songs from the future cd pressings and download sites such as i-tunes. There is much that they could do for their stupidity beyond excusable.
Is it possible that part of the contract Eddie signed with Sony when selling them the songs stipulated that a minimum number must be used? That would make sense. I've always believed that it wasn't about the money for him, but producing an MJ album. I still believe his original idea was to have a whole album, hence the rather convenient figure of 12 songs. Clearly his work on Thriller 25, which most producers would kill for, was not enough. It was stated by their buddy Freidman, more than once I believe, that at least 5 Cascio tracks would be used. Remember that when Breaking News streamed, the tracklist had not been made public. It could have been even worse.
I hope that the Estate has acknowledged that we don't want the Cascio songs. Like someone said earlier, not sure if it was on here, but I don't think we'll hear from Eddie again. I highly doubt it. I don't think him, Jason Malachi, or anyone will ever admit anything.
I was going to say the exact same thing until I read your post.I must disagree on that one. All I need opens with "you are not alone" theme.
Stay and Burn Tonight don't even sound like Michael to me. I don't have the songs to re-listen to find back the melodies I evoked.
I meant they don't sample MJ vocals. My theory is, if a Cascio track has "hoo!" "aaow!" taken from other songs, Sony will approve them.
I'm not Ivy or your wife. Why are you quarreling with me? :aggressive:
Based on observation, the Estate acknowledge the controversy, but deny any unethical practice. So, they would never issue a recall.

don't hold your breath. any announcement saying those tracks are not Michael equals to refunding album purchase price to anyone wants. So I'll classify it somewhere between highly unlikely to probably impossible.
