Michael - The Great Album Debate

Also, you notice on the Breaking News demo it starts with the Michael Jackson sampled "Ow!" or whatever it is, meaning they were obviously using that pasted in already.

yes.. but it's sampled from an acapella. Not the same task.

Yeah but the YRMW acapella is not a true acapella. It just has the music turned right down. If you isolate the "ow", you can still hear the YRMW music in the background.

"AOW" is from Escape and in Escape, the "AOW" is alone, so one can easily copy/paste it.

Edit: Sorry, I was thinking Monster now.

Edit 2: No, I was right, the AOW in BN is from Escaped, only the tempo slowed down.

Anyone ever answer why Michael(or perhaps Malachi) is in the background of Monster @ 2:29? It sounds like Michael's grit but it's very faint and random.

If I remember correctly, Korgnex said that those are some album masters/early pre-mixes and not the original demos.

I wouldn't rely on anything he says. They are exactly what was submitted to Sony. I can assure you of that.

It might be better to start the song at 2:28 because it's right at the 2:29 second mark on the album version of Monster. It sounds a little bit like Michael going "don't don't" or "no no" in the background, it sounds like him to me but I could be mistaken, it's a small part. To me it sounds like a low-volume ad-lib pasted in to compliment the instrumental.

It goes like this: "Everybody wanna be starrr-oo(don't!-don't!/no!-no!)oo-oo"

Yep, copy-pasted vox there...

I've also heard the "don't!" part, which sounds like Michael to me.

Great find ! On my album that part is at 2:37 though ... !?
Now that paste makes no sense other than deception.

btw, awesome to see how believers are slowly switching sides. :)

Yeah I think it definitely is deceptive because it's Michael, I hear it, I sing along to that part in the song, so it definitely "Michael's it up" a bit more and I can see how people would be confused, they hear a part like that and go "Well that sounded definitely like Michael, it must be him."

The question is also this: if the tracks were processed, meaning many copy-pastes were integrated into the songs, in what state and what vocals did Eddie Cascio provide to SONY? Who actually fabricated and/or shaped the songs? Teddy or someone before?

^ bumper, that is precisely the question I asked :)
And I think we can find the beginning of an answer in the demos, if we know who made them.

Stella assures that they come from the protools session, a package given by the Cascio to Sony. But I would like to know if Birchey explicitly said that these demos came from this session? Cause he also got other songs such as Burn Tonight which is clearly a version worked by Teddy. So the demos could have been very well a first draft besides the protools session.

The version that Teddy worked on is the one that was leaked by rnbsot.com. The version that Birchey had was the original.

yes I noticed that a long time ago.. and a second one can be heard on the early version 1 or 2 second later. It can be heard more clearly cause it is isolated in the break of the song. The two screams are identical but on different channel (left for the first, right for the second).

I wonder why they removed only the second one? Maybe because they built the final version from the early mix and they couldn't remove easily the first one which was already inlaid into the music.

seems that Sony's material leaked everywhere : Tak, Birchey, rnbsot.com... what else?
And what about Soldier Boy? Is it an early demo?

Solider Boy is the submitted version. It was first recorded by James Porte, and registered with the US Copyright Office in 2005.

Looool...and now I know who tagged it ;)

No I tagged it, it's misheard lyrics :p

so now people can say the song's about alcoholism, just like how Critical is about Lisa Marie ("the thought of your kids, still lingers in my mind")

I don't think Teddy did the cut and paste. He didn't produce KYHU. It's unknown anything about "All Right" which also has at least one ad-lib.

It's funny how Tricky claims that it's MJ in KYHU by insisting that MJ was satisfied with the result. The article mentions fans alleging that Earth Song was sampled but Tricky didn't say ANYTHING about that.

Now I'd like to know who tagged 'soldier boy > tdcau'...cuz that's just wrong ..

For the time being, we're stuck until something damning can come into place... Malachi's "confession" on Facebook still raises some questions with me.

Didn't Worldwide admit to hacking it?

I honestly couldn't tell if he was being serious, though. And even then, why would Malachi disappear off the face of the internet because of it?

He was. He also hacked Jasons hotmail account and thieved a bunch of his pictures.

Malachi was hacked. No questions about it. The same person also hacked Max-Jax. I also said this multiple times , according to Thad they couldn't get the accounts back because Worldwide had hacked everything and they were left with directly contacting facebook, twitter etc and ask them to take down the accounts for good. Why he didn't open any new accounts is anyone's guess. but seeing hate directed towards teddy, frank etc on twitter, it should give a reason why he's not wanting to be on social network,

if those songs came from the pro-tools session they can't be the originals because birchey also said that they had grunts and adlibs pasted on - hence worked on.

also I'm having a hard time believing raw vocals / originals / masters being available on a server that was supposedly open / easily accessible. I don't think this discussion is doing birchey any favors, if you get what I'm saying.

billie jean came on the radio on my way home from work. . . u know what i thought of while i was listening to it?

I can hear michael's entire life in his songs. I can hear his voice as a little kid, and i can hear it from this is it. When i listen to one of his songs, i can hear where his voice has been, and where it's going to go. i know it well, at every stage of his life, and i can hear that entire progression in every second of every song. i don't know if i'm explaining that well . . .

All i hear when i listen to the cascio tracks is a stranger.
