Michaels 90s live performances are overrated

It's a little disappointing how only 5 songs from the Dangerous album were performed on the Dangerous Tour. And the 5th song (Dangerous) didn't show up until the 1993 leg of the tour.

Black Or White was sung live over the playback at Wembley (And maybe at one other show). It's strange how Michael would choose to sing over the playback though
 
Just rewatched gone too soon at the Clinton gala. Apart from the continuous goosebumps I got from his live singing I really got a kick out of all the suits standing up to give a standing ovation.

I think it's a just in case type of thing maybe. I've heard him mess up beat it a few times. Even on the Victory tour so.... thats my theory

I am sorry but no... he was no overrated as Live-Performer in the 90s.
I agree that the use of playback got a bit much over the years and i see why it's lame.

But to say that his actual live-vocal songs on the dangerous tour had bad vocals is just a lie.

Live-Vocals aren't and never were supposed to sound exactly like the album. Especially if you are an artist who plays an instrument while singing OR dancing heavily the whole time. WBSS live vocals never were perfect but it has its own style and he was dancing so much.
Live Vocals of Billie Jean, WD&N, MITM ending you call shit when especially MITM ending always was better than the actual studio version.
I agree that the History Tour got pretty lame on parts but even that tour has great shows such as Bucharest 1996 or Kuala Lumpur 1996 (even his live vocals parts were great!)

the start posting looks so much like a hater who just wanted to make a hate-post... xD
 
Michael has 2 kinds of fans. Those who love his voice and those who love his dancing. He only gave the latter what they wanted the full 100% and the former had to do with bits and parts here and there. That is lame.
