I think I'd like to be the beaded curtain. The moment when he steps through it just blows my mind. I nominated it as one of my 'moments' on the 'small moments' thread. All the shots of him hovering behind the curtain and you can see him but not properly - ooh, love those moments, too.

Oh, I hadn't even finished. Was in the middle of doing this one and my router conked out. I'm overworking the poor thing. :D

Anyway, getting back on track, what I wanted to say was ...

Can't get enough of these HWT pics. It's not the 'gold pants' thing (I am unmoved by that) and it's not the Bacofoil outfit (gah!), it's always his face. These HWT photos, he seems to be saying so much more. I haven't seen one where he doesn't look insanely beautiful but also clearly has LOADS to say. And I wanna hear it.

Or is it my imagination? Or is it just cos there are so many of them? But his facial expressions in these are off the chart. It's unbearable.

So if you watch GITM video, the bit where he's singing 'talk to me, baby'. That exact bit, if you watch his hip movement there. It's a very small movement, very subtle. That's my moment. That is my equivalent of this gif you mentioned. 🥵

Oh I love your descriptions. Its is great to be able to enjoy Michael's work from a different point of view. I am so focused on watching his every move that so far whenever there is another dancer in the way, I almost start shouting "move! move!" 😂 It is interesting to think of BOTDL. GIM as him being part of a group and not the only center of attention.

He doesn't even get the hang of how you do that type of close dancing, as in, you focus on your partner. At least, I hope it's that and not that he felt uncomfortable. If you look at his partner, notice her laser focus on him. That's how you do it, Michael darling!

I bet some of them were thinking that but to afraid to tell Michael Jackson how dancing is done ;) But yeah, its funny how he just does not get it.

Exactly right lol! I’m so focused on Michael that if anyone is in the way I get cross lol I’m giddy and then shouting, “Hey! Move over, I’m trying to watch him lol!”. It’s cute though how he’s just going his own way with it, but hell, if any of us danced like that with him it would be like hey there Mike, focus lol ;) just the thought of it oh man!🥵

And this is a fair point. Who wouldn't want to just wallow in looking at Michael without any distractions? But I love watching dancers do their thing and I love watching rock bands. I would have loved Michael to have had more connections in his life. He just always seemed so isolated. Plus, having other performers around him, they sort of act as a frame. A bit like when he's in a spotlight onstage. It just beautifully enhances everything. Of course, I totally forgot to mention Come Together. And *those* musicians have actually played with Michael, they toured with him. The interactions there are fab but I think GITM is even better.

Do you know what? I don't think they would be thinking that. First of all, they are trained dancers and they understand that he isn't so they're gonna be cool with his limitations. Also, they will be so feckin' excited to be on video shoot with Michael-freakin'-Jackson I don't think they'd care what he does. Plus, some of them have worked with him before. I can see Kevin Stea in there (spiked up hair, maroon t-shirt). Jamie King is in there somewhere. For the purposes of this video they are his gang. Which is what I love about it.

God, Michael Jackson. He is so feckin' awesome. 🔥

See, this is it. He might not be doing the ballroom / Latin type dancing quite the way it's supposed to be done but, my god, he's giving it his own edge, as always. He might not be doing it 'properly' but what he is doing is freakin' brilliant.
