That is a lovely moment.

But, because I am always contrary, I have to say, I prefer Slash in that moment. If you watch Slash you'll see (I mean, you prob already know all this, lol) that he leans into Michael and, as Michael is singing 'and it's OK' Slash is miming along. And THAT is rock and roll. That is such a rock and roll moment. And this is what I mean when I drone on about wanting to see Michael connected to other people and not be so isolated all the time. This is how rock bands interact with each other and we don't see a lot of this sort of thing with Michael with him being a solo artist. I love that moment. It's just so lovely. I mean, yeah, Michael's cute little smile and his shoulders and everything but, for me, it's all about Slash getting into Michael's song.

Lets appreciate all kids of belts, this is different from that big buckle one from HN, though am I just seeing things of Mikezilla is making an appearance here :eek:

I wasn't looking but the comments around this image when I found it in the archives tell me that there is something to be seen. I'm not always looking at what other peeps are looking at, lol. Like today with the gif of Michael in that black Bad top. Apparently, there are interesting hip grinds going on ... or something. All I could look at was the glory of Michael dressed in black. I was vaguely aware that sw23 might be 'slightly' interested in the picture but, for me, it's all about how sexy he looks dressed in black. I found a gif and a photo. I nearly passed out, lol.

Oh, I look at all of them. Muzz Skillings being cooler than cool because ... well, he's Muzz Skillings. Gilbey Clarke throwing shapes like a man possessed. Slash just killing it as lead guitar. I do love Michael and I admire your focus but, gotta admit it, if there's rock musicians in the picture, they will get my attention as well. :D

You have a great eye though! I would not have noticed the snake hips movement easily, and its a great moment. Here is another one. Michael just running his hands through his body 🥵

This is one of my fave moments and there is nothing I can say as we'll end up with another essay and it won't, in any case, be able to capture the glory of this moment. The many glories, I should say. I have written essays about it in my head, I have built shrines to it in my head. This moment is everything.

See this is where I have to differ. There is just something about him ripping shirt like that, pulling it off that I don't like, for me it crosses the boundary into that explicit rock stars move that we were talking before. Somehow its different from the way he does it in Come Together. I want to say - no Michael no, be a gentleman and limit yourself to grabbing, caressing, rubbing, thrusting and body rolls ........

Oh, I don't like the shirt ripping AT ALL. I bumped this for other peeps to enjoy, especially as it seemed to be a bit longer. DD shirt ripping? No thank you. Don't like it, don't want it. Don'f find it sexy. Whenever I see Michael ripping his shirt I always think, 'oh go and have a cup of tea with your Mum, Michael'.

I don't know that I see it as him crossing the boundary, although I can absolutely see why you would say that. But it just doesn't work for me. And it never has. I don't see it as crass or vulgar but, no, it just doesn't work. It just doesn't feel like 'Michael'. Come Together is fine. Sexy. Lovely. Exciting. Wild. Whereas, DD, for me, just no. And now this one, as well, nah, doesn't work.

I wonder if you're on to something here. I said I don't find this to be crass, and I don't, but is it Michael trying to do something because he thinks it fits the moment? He was doing this back in Jackson's days, as I now know from digging around in the archives. But I wonder how much of it stems from seeing rock stars do this type of thing AND maybe rebelling a little bit against the limitations of his strict religious upbringing? I guess you'd have to say the same about all the other stuff he does but that all feels like 'him', iyswim. None of that feels forced, it all feels like it's authentic to him. This doesn't, for some reason.

I don't think I'm gonna be able to work this out. But me and the shirt ripping? We do not get on.

Maybe that's it, it does not feel original to Michael. Though being a genius he is, he adds the ripping at the right moment, accompanied by right level of energy, but it does feel like a 'fit in' move. I am happy be grew out of it.

Omg yes. Michael is beautiful and sexy as always in this picture, but my eyes have built a home below his belt and they are very, very happy there! Haha
 
I will not stand for all the disrespect toward Michael’s shirt ripping!!! Just kidding 😂

I understand it’s not for everyone, but I am one of those people who find it mega sexy because I just love how ferocious he is in those moments. It’s beyond to me. The first time I saw him do it I think I squealed or screamed or cried or something in between, but it was a very good and strong reaction. The gif in question is one I have shared a couple times too because I just love it… it’s my favorite one of him doing it too!

But hey, we all have our preferences! I’m not into all of Michael’s different looks (meaning, while he is always beautiful, they don’t all get me going lol) but then our mixed preferences are part of what make the thread so fun 🤩

I think the first time I saw it was like years ago, well before my Michael obsession. And I was like SHOCKED. His entire body looks ****** beautiful. Perfect. Just… wow. But then you add his smile which is otherworldly in how bright and gleaming and sexy it is… and then you add that he is all wet and his shorts (underwear?) is soaked through… and then you add the bit of hair falling across his face… and then you add that I’m only a woman and I’m weak willed and in love with the man in the picture….
