I know that as a rule, professional dancers don’t usually wear thick-fabric clothes due to them being inflexible and overheating. I noticed in the music video In The Closet, Michael wears black jeans, and in the Blood On The Dancefloor music video, Michael seems to be wearing corduroy pants. And in the Bad video, he is adorned all in leather.
I’m not saying Michael’s preference for thick-fabrics is incorrect but I find it interesting. In music videos and in concerts, he dances and jumps endlessly in leather loafers and thick-fabric clothes.
Dancers sometimes dress in thick-fabrics when performing in fantasy or historical performances (and Michael’s concerts do include these imageries). Maybe Michael could tolerate dancing in heavy fabrics like a personal preference and also going for a fantasy/ historical/ regal look. What do you think?
