Currently (last updated on Feb 10, 2008) Michael is holding the 89th position with 26 512 listeners. His position on the charts rose by 10 from the previous week.
This was because more people have started to listen to his music on Last.fm. Nevertheless, there are certainly some people here on the MJJC forums that are yet to get familiar with the site.
Since the top artists are not ranked according to the total number of played songs but by the number of listeners, you could all just register here at http://www.last.fm and then create a playlist. By listening to MJ's music, you obviously become his listener, and then, as the charts update every week, MJ's position will soar.
HINT: you will discover (if you yet haven't) that when you create your playlist, you must add music from 15 different artists to be able to listen to the playlist. However, after you have added 15 different artists on the playlist and are able to listen to it, you can apparently delete some of the artist from the list (meaning that you will actually no longer have 15 different artists on your list) while the playlist remains functional.
By deleting the other artists, you will give them less plays and consequently Michael will get more of them.
Another method would be to add songs by various artists that are listed in the Last.fm directories but whose songs are not actually available for playing. An example of such songs is any of the Rhymefest's tracks from the Man In the Mirror tribute album.
Also, Tempamental's Gangsta, La Toya's Night Time Lover and various collaborations are not available on Last.fm but they help you to fulfill the initial requirement for 15 different artists.
