Murray could end up on house arrest if convicted

I still hope that something will happen that will result in Murray getting a punishment that fits his crime. Something like 20+ years in prison!

I guess I am a dreamer, but more incredible things has happend in this world... Anyway

the way I see it even if Michael had been shot dead by some random ganster/killer people would've blamed him and let the person get off with minimal consequences.

I just want to remind everyone to keep the faith regarding punishment. The court must work within sentencing guidelines and there are a multitude of factors which must be considered and weighed in arriving at a sentence within the framework of the law. I've noticed, at least on twitter, that a lot of fans are throwing their hands up and acting as though Murray has already been sentenced to house arrest. For one, we simply cannot predict beyond a general estimate the kind of punishment Murray is likely to get - house arrest is simply not a given. Two, I think we owe it to Michael to maintain our faith in the right outcome and sentence. Thirdly, as I reiterated in an earlier post... this report came from TMZ, and therefore has zero credibility in my book. If it's TMZ, it is invalid.

Just some thoughts.

Lets get him convicted first before ppl worry about punishments.

I totally agree with you

i had a wierd dream last night where the judge was talking to us all at a fan gathering and he told us he knows murrays as guilty as hell and would give him 15 years if he could.

What a great dream. I just have nightmares of flannagan asking me in a million different ways if i'm familiar with the half-life of lorazepam.

I agree its frustrating having such a low sentence on offer with IM, esp after hearing the testimonoy of the Steinberg - with a witness like that i'm sure the pros could have gone for murder one - he was that brutal. But Tmez had a good argument about the charges when he said that sometimes if juries have a murder 2 charge with an option of IM, it can result in a hung jury and a retrial.

I wiki-ed phil spector's trial. His victim died of a gunshot in her mouth, spector was the only person with her and had gunshot forensics on him, he made a confession immediately after to his chauffeur and he had a history of threatening women with guns. He was charged with murder 2 and i would have thought it was an open and shut case but the first jury was hung (the second did convict). Then you have the casey anthony case. In this case, you have a defendant who is a doctor and apparently juries are reluctant to convict drs of murder. So, although it is frustrating, i can understand why the da was cautious.

I had nightmares last night though. The stream kept stopping and i was stuck in some strange place and we were asking walgren how it was going. then the defence had some great witness who was discussing something to do with brain. talk about stress dreams

All that matters to is the jury foreperson says "guilty" and its documented in the history books that mj was the victim.

murray wont be able to write a book or make money off his crime

I agree with that. All that matters to me is that he is found guilty. After that, let justice do whatever they want with him, jail or house arrest. I'm not gonna wish or build hopes for something that may not occur and then be frustrated at the justice system that acquitted Michael in 2005. I'll just wait and see what happens.
