Hi everyone

I hope I speak for a lot of people in this forum when I say how frustrating and saddening I find it to be an MJ fan right now.
His memory is getting trashed again. I am wholeheartedly on the side of MJ and when are people going to realise MJ was the victim.
I’m feeling overwhelmed by the trash talking about Michael and just want him to rest in peace.
I have many health problems and draw strength from Michael and all he went through.

I say would that Dan Reed doesn’t know what dangerous waters he is in.

Mods please move this if in the wrong place

Not for me.

About 30 years ago, I decided to stop caring what other people think. Because it doesn't matter.

Basically, you like what you like, and for your own good, you shouldn't worry about others. Just realize you're not responsible for what others believe.

P.T. Barnum once said, “There’s no such thing as bad publicity,” which is almost as good as Oscar Wilde’s version, who put it like this: “There’s only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.”

MJ was very familiar with these two men through their work and I believe he would still agree with these statements.

I have a lot of faith for it all to turn out for the best. All this trash coming out is really just a part of a process of re correction and enlightenment for our society. If anything we must be grateful for getting a head start of being on the right side of history and take it from there. I also draw strength from Michael and remember his legacy will live regardless of anyone or anything.

Sometimes it is really hard being an MJ fan.
I think it helps to accept that as great as we think he is, he is a divisive figure. We cannot change the minds of those who want to think a certain way. I think the best thing to do is carry on listening to his music and ignore the rest of the noise. His numbers speak for themselves. The world clearly still loves him, despite what the press want us to believe.
I feel the same way about politics, when I tune into the news, the world feels like a bleak place, then I go about my everyday and I realise the world is fine and full of good people, they just never make the news.
Maybe give yourself a break from all the negative coverage. Listen to MJ and remember why you fall in love with the music each time, give back that joy to yourself and don't allow the view of others to pollute it.
Having been a fan since his lifetime, you really have to find a way to cope with all the nonsense because unfortunately, it's non stop and it's draining.
As the saying goes, when you can't change the circumstances around you, it's time to change your perspective.

If it gives you any hope, I've been kinda disconnected from MJ stuff lately and today I realized that Leaving Neverland II released a month ago...Let me tell you, I have not heard hide nor hair about this in the news or any mainstream tabloid or anything. And I see on IMDB, this thing is getting absolutley torn apart, reviewers rightfully calling Wade and James liars and opportunists looking for a quick paycheck.

Whatever Wade, Dan, and James are trying to sell, the general public ain't buying it this time around.

My fellow Moonwalker, since you have been on the MJJ Community since 2003 can I ask what is your favourite "Michael mania" moment?

From 2003 onwards? I fondly remember around the time that The Ultimate Collection was to be release and certain songs like We've Had Enough had started leaking, that was really exciting. Other than that, I think the This Is It tour announcement was as good as it got around here.

Great times. I remember where I was sitting, in my parents bedroom on the family PC listening to We've Had Enough from a link on here in 2004 and the chills I got. My favourite memory.

Great memory there, if only we had anyone producing the same level on music as Michael was even in his 40's! Sadly the pain of 25 June 2009 will never leave my heart. I feel it everyday. Sometimes it is hard to even get out of bed without Michael in my life.

Don't feel alone in your grief. I know I go through periods when I feel his loss more deeply than other times. I do find it worrying that you say it's hard to get out of bed, I hope things get better for you.
