BUT - I think the storm has passed. Not much damage was done really.

The lies was so clear and the stories so absurd - so not many believed it I think.

I agree, the Grammy Awards are a little more likely for at least something to be mentioned.. Even if its a retrospective of his career.

Agreed. Superbowl is about The Weeknd. Having anything related to MJ will take the attention away from The Weeknd and I am sure he wouldn't want that.

Michael doesn’t need the Grammys. I have a hard time believing the Estate would use them for anything after the history they have had with Mike. When it’s comeback time I hope they will do something independent from any award shows.

While Michael doesn't need the grammys. he does deserves more grammys he got in his lifetime. the grammys are full of it. they did michael wrong after thriller.

While I understand that MJ doesn't need the Grammys, it's also probably the best launching point for a new project. It attracts young and old alike, it's a worldwide draw, and it crosses genre and style barriers. Other award shows (Billboard Music Awards, iHeart) tend to lean to one side of the aisle, and the Super Bowl costs millions upon millions for a single advertisement.

If a new album truly is coming, the Grammys is where it should be announced.

Question is if they wanna release it may/june - for the summertime - or they wanna wait til Christmas.

BUT - since the musicindustry is totally different and not many physical albums are sold, not many give CD/LP's as christmasgift I guess.

So maybe Christmassale are not really that important anymore?? - Then I hope they release it in may - before summer.

Agreed. LNFSG was released/hyped at the iHeartRadio awards show when Xscape was announced. Let's see. I wouldn't get your hopes up folks.

i agree. that was a crazy move. it seem to be up now but i would be caution. this isn't the first billboard play crap with michael. they need to get a grip.

Yeah, they did the photoshoot with the Leaving Neverland liars as if they were a boyband :lmao:

And then on top of that they wrote an article saying MJs music sales had gone down straight after LN premiered... only to have to correct it a few days later when MJs sales had increased! :lmao:

I can't really understand why they have such an agenda for MJ... He has made lots of good for Billboard. But negativty sells I guess. Sensationalism

Pretty sure this is an ongoing trademark so that people can't make MJ stuff and profit from it. Look at how broad the use is.

Yeah, probably doesn't mean anything.. But their isn't much news at the moment. It is however the only registration that mentions "approved for use" in the application.

Triumph International Inc. is used for licensing. In regard to "new" songs they'll have to use publishing services.

It's also used for branding on mass marketing/merchandise of products for example BAD 25 & Thriller 25 previously, but as you say its different with studio albums as their is no record of Xscape/Michael etc.

This means probably nothing, but Bill Bottrells "Blood on the Dancefloor" (completely different song than Teddy's botdf) has been added to BMI recently. Interestingly, it lists Michael as the performing artist. So there has to be some laid down MJ vocals - that's news to me.

News to me also, I always thought the rumour was that Michael heard Bill mention the title and later used it with Teddy Riley to conceive a completely different track.

It's not a rumour at all. In the BOTDF album notes MJ thanked Bill for inspiring him for the song title.
