My guess is that this design for the can was one that was submitted but not chosen. It would certainly cost more to print that can above than it would to print the can we have. The current can has only 2 or 3 colors on it.

They said this is NOT an authorized design. What a shame!

I got this answer from them as well. I was hoping this was true as these cans look awesome! It was too good to be true I guess:(
 
Such desing is very popular at the moment. You can find a lot pictures in that style with many singers. Looks cool.
