Off The Wall songs info

It's probably in the vault somewhere
also have to remember Michael was already working on another album before Thriller was released. His plan was OTW, Thriller, then his concept album that he spoke of in an interview during OTW. The album was going to be about poverty, kids and "old people" as he said.

Be Not Always, Little Susie, Life of Chico, What A Lonely Way and Much Too Soon were most likely going to be on there if the original 1984 release happened. I'm sure most of the stuff from the 70's is probably at Hayvenhurst

That's what I think

Which interview is this?

Billboard 1/12/1980. Last paragraph in the middle of the page and right above his picture, he mentions the concept album he wanted to do after Thriller......the paragraph above that says he wants to release another album in 2 years and since this is from 1980, he was already planning Thrillers 1982 release

Interesting

He says he was already getting ideas together for a year, which puts us in the late 1978 early 1979 years.....the songs I listed are around that time.
Oh man, I never heard about this, I think a concept album would have done him a world of good, it would break him away from being just a “pop” star.

His list of unfinished projects is really big, such a shame.

Hopefully we'll hear them soon

Btw the titles sound like ballods

Little susie in his late 70s voice sure would be interesting, not that it changed all that much but that youthful touch…

Nymphette Lover would also fit the description for the concept album.

Michael copyrighted the potential songs in 1984…..could’ve been to prep for the album or he could’ve been organizing his material in general.

There could be truth to this. John Barnes has also stated that there was some misunderstanding and Michael actually believed that after E.T., his 3-record deal with Quincy would end.

So, he started working with the B-team in the hopes of producing his own album, by himself, without Quincy, thus probably the album he mentioned in that newspaper article.

There was a lot going on at that time....Michael was also scheduled to deliver another album by April 1983 according to the letter CBS sent him in January that same year.

Imagine a world where MJ released his mid 80's album and turned Bad into a 3-disc album... We really are living in the worst timeline lol.
We can only dream! That 3 disc album would've been holy grail! His music from 1983-89 is what I really want to hear

But the thing about that is that it wouldn’t have sold very well, because 3 vinyl albums were too expensive for a lot of people to buy. That’s why the record company didn’t go with that route. As nice as it would’ve been, it just wasn’t realistic at the time.
