Hello, I have a question regarding Premium membership, specifically through Patreon. I recently signed up for the lowest tier ($1 a month) and I was just wondering if that'd list me as Premium on the forums? Or is it only from $5 a month and up? I couldn't really find an answer to this anywhere, unless I've overlooked something, so I just wanted to ask. Honestly supporting the forum is already enough for me, but I was just curious really. Apologies for all the trouble!

Hey there, there is no minimum, if you are only able to choose the $1 per month tier that's fine, its geared that way so that anyone in any financial situation can help with keeping this community going no matter how small or large.

If it's Patron you must ensure the email address you used there is the same as your account here, I have now checked it and upgraded you accordingly.

Enjoy my community for Michael Jackson.

Hi :giggle:

I don't want to create a new thread, so I just use this here. Not sure why, but I lost my premium membership status here. Nothing about my Patreon support changed, so I guess it's a mistake or bug.

I am assuming that you already checked that it did deduct the right amount from your account?

@Gaz , any idea? Did something change in new year? One of my one-time donation in January also did not get attributed to my profile, but that could be different issue.

I also have some questions regarding. Both to be seen as generic questions and/or regarding my account.

- Do we get premium membership for one-time donations ? (If I remember well, in the past, it was only through Patreon)
- If yet, what's they're limitations in time ? Same about Patreon actually, if you stop donation, do you lose it.
- And, in example, a little less then two years ago I think I donate something like, I think something between 30 and 40 (I should check I'm really not sure anymore of the precise amount) ... those do not appear in my profile, I think there was some changes in the forum at some point, they were before ... And technically, they amount to sereval years of of "1 $/month Patreon" contributions... Am I supposed to still have premium membership or not? Thanks.

Hey Guys,

Ok, answering the above.

To be in the premium member group you must contribute monthly via the donate button on the forum or via becoming a Patron, there is no minimum or maximum amount, you set that according to how much you can afford, so could be $1, $10 or $20 etc etc.

When using either the donate or patron you must make sure the email address you use is the same as is on your profile account here at MJJC, this allows me to compare them and ensure you are added to the premium group, if you have been removed and you are still contributing you must update the email address so I can ensure you are given the benefits.

Hey, Your email address on the forum and in patron must be different, you need to update one so they are both the same so I can find your account and update you, this will continue to happen until you have :)

Ah thank you! I thought they are the same. I fixed it now 🙏

@Gaz :

Thanks for reply. So if one contributes, they're premium for 1 month, no matter if they gave 1 or 50 ?

My idea is rather to contribute a small amount (but likely higher that 1/month) but leaving months/years between each contribution. I don't want to use Patreon or anything automated, and I don't want to have to remember it every month or such.) So it would be nice if you could something like 12+ contributions last for a year or 6+ contributions last for 6 month?

Also, I use different e-mail addresses on different sites, I don't want to use the same everywhere... so that seems it maybe blocking also? (or is it only about Patreon?).

Now if, it's complicated, contributions are one things, but I don't mind that much about Premium stuff or not... it's just that it gives some feeling of not getting the same things as everyone for the same amount ...

Simply put, if you want something bespoke I can deal with you directly. Just message me on here and I will accommodate.

Yeah you are lol.
Thanks

edit: maybe I should mention it wasn't back on that day when I made that posting. I assumed it would be given to me manually. Not sure anymore after that response, haha! Anyway, I'm glad it's back :giggle:
