Question about the Jury

When it was initially reported that about half the Jury are or were fans of Michael at some point, there were articles saying that this would benefit the Defense. I don't see how...Why would they say that?

Maybe they could claim the jury was biased and appeal their verdict? I don't know. I honestly don't see how half of them being Michael Jackson fans could benefit the defence, especially considering the piles of damning evidence Murray is currently drowning in.

With that said, we've got some pretty good jurors, among them a college professor, a management firm partner, a paralegal, a technical director, and someone with a BA in biochemistry. So, we've got a good number of formally educated/professional people on the jury.
