Michael Jackson’s three children traveled to the Bahamas for the holidays, but their guardian and grandmotherKatherine Jackson stayed behind in California, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Paris Jackson came home from the Utah boarding school where she was sent after a 2013 suicide attempt to spend the holidays with brothers Prince Jackson and Blanket Jackson, insiders said. But the children’s Christmas celebration was low key since their grandmother, a Jehovah’s Witness church member, does not observe holidays for religious reasons.
Paris, 16, Prince, 17 and Blanket, 12, seem to prefer warm island retreats for winter holidays. They
flew to Hawaiiwith several of their Jackson cousins last year.

This year, co-guardian
T.J. Jackson chaperoned the trip to the Bahamas’ Atlantis Paradise Island. Cousins Jermajesty and Jaafar Jackson — sons of uncle Jermaine Jackson — were with them for the beach vacation, according to sources. The family returned to Los Angeles Tuesday.

Prince
seemed a little lonely since girlfriend Niki Berger did not make the trip, a source tells Radar. And while Paris and Prince’s biological mom Debbie Rowe posted a photo of her two children on Facebook Monday — tagging it “Babies” — she was not in the picture. She posted a photo of her with Paris during last Christmas.

This is a time of transition for the deceased King of Pop’s children, with Prince turning 18 in February and Blanket’s home schooling ending in favor of the private school where his older brother is a senior.

Blanket is “coming out of his shell,” a source close to the children told Radar exclusively.

As Radar previously reported, Prince plans to start college — and not a show business career — when he
graduates high school next summer. Once he turns 18, he will no longer be under the control of a court-appointed guardian.

As for Paris, she will return to the Utah school after the holidays.
She is often seen smiling and happy, a contrast to the last message she posted on Twitter before cutting her wrists on on June 5, 2013: “yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”
