Glad to see someone who knew MJ bought it. And glad to see he is reparing and restoring Neverland. - Hopefully he will change the name back to Neverland again.
Wouldnt he need to go to the courts for that?
To change the name? - I don't think so. If I want a sign on my house and call it Neverland I guess I can do so.
BUT - maybe the name is trademaked - so it casn not be used commercially. But just to call your own property Neverland, I think everyone can.

Would be odd if someone could own the name because Peter Pan is in public domain I think. I don't think Estate could trademark it. I could be wrong.

Most of these trademarks were filled nearly ten years ago (in 2012) and since then they have been renewed periodically, others were new and were filled later for the first time.
The Neverland Ranch trademarks are not limited only to the singer’s actual estate, but they cover also other (mainly entertainment) fields.
Among others, it covers: magazine publication services, fan club services, multimedia materials (like, films, television series, etc), or even educational projects like classes, or workshops.
This means that you are not allowed to officially call your own property ‘Neverland’, and if you want to do that you may have to firstly get the appropriate written permission for using that trademark.
I think the original rides were sold before Neverland property was sold.I'm glad they are doing something with the property, I just have to spot out that these rides are not the originals that MJ had.
Yeah, I've seen a couple in town here at an ostrich Festival. I just wanted to make sure other fans understood that it's not the actual rides. I just don't want people thinking that when they finish with what they are doing, it represents the pinnacle of what it was... It still looked very different! The rides have been seen at different fairs across the U.S
