A friend of mine is doing her final year project on 'Female Objectification'. Yesterday, she asked me to read her draft in order get an opinion on her work. I was very astonished by reading some of the research findings she had referenced in her project regarding this issue. Today I decided to do a quick internet research of my own.
Here are some really thought provoking videos I came across:

Sexual objectification is not only deeply (and bizarrely) rooted in our cultural subconscious, but it's also something that has to change if we want a truly happy, sex-healthy society.

*Contains some strong language (NSFW).*

This one is a must watch: It’s a presentation on the history of the bikini. Moreover, it presents other research regarding what happens in men’s brains when they’re exposed to women dressed in minimal clothing:

I think it’s such a shame that in today's world women have been reduced down to being symbols of sex and are openly used as "props” in order to sell products. I understand this is a sensitive topic and I apologise if I offended anyone (especially with the second video); However, I think this is an important issue and can be a very interesting topic to discuss.
