My friend has alerted me to the most awful story on Twitter: people are being asked to vote to speak to Michael in an online seance!

Apparently, the departed who receives the most votes will be nominated for the seance, and they will publish it all on Twitter - live! I ask all true Michael fans to vote @tweance with a name other than Michael, so that he is left in peace, as he should be. I personally think the whole thing is awful, and feel guilty voting for anyone at all, but it is just so unfair to Michael, his family, his children...Maybe we should vote for someone who died many years ago (Henry VIII, Abraham Lincoln??), so that no immediate family will be upset as a consequence??

You have to vote the name and a question to @tweance - how many of you are on Twitter?

What do you think? Please help me protect Michael.

I am more then shocked and appalled at your obvious lack of human decency. When you guys opened your new season and decided to be AGRESSIVE, with your new format I thought, it's a new format, and let's wait and see! Then I actually saw what you were saying about Michael Jackson. How pathetically desperate are you guys anyway for WEAK RATINGS, that you have to slander him and allow others to do it for you, on air?!! Unless you are getting the ratings you want, then in that case you have Michael to Thank for that too!! It is so sad, to see you digress so easily for cheap shots and ratings. I look forward to watching your competion now, more then ever! I will tell everyone I know to do the same. And here is the kicker, even your new format won't save you!..Sad isn't it. Long Live Michael a hell of alot longer then your show will ever see..

Augh! I'm not going to nominate anyone. I don't agree with speaking with the departed anyway and I think too many of those clairvoyants are charlatans. No offence to anyone who thinks differently though. And on Twitter too? The medium cited is Jayne Wallace who, according to her website, "has also appeared in The Mirror, The Times, The Sun & The Daily Mail and many more giving specialist advice on various spiritual subjects". The Mirror, The Sun, The Daily Mail... Those high quality papers indeed! I wouldn't want advice from anyone who works (or has worked) for those publications. Having said all this, the bottom line is... I hope Michael doesn't get enough nominations. Neither another Michael (Hutchence). Not that I'd believe they'd really get to talk to Michael but the whole concept is just too tacky.
