The choreography in the “You Rock My World” music video

The sequence with Kishaya Dudley is incredibly charismatic actually. The subtlety of the video is a strength in hindsight.

It’s just her side of the story, we never got Paul Hunter’s explanation. MJ looked horrible in 2001, and the whole point of videos is to promote album sales. It’s possible that the director thought that some sort of prosthetic, combined with clever lighting and shadows, might improve MJ’s looks. I mean, they obviously went out of their way to hide MJ’s face as much as possible in the video.

I think it was the drug use that made him that way it f***cks u up. And also being called a pedo constantly didnt help it hurt him deeply

I remember Cascio saying in his book that Michael got really upset about something when filming the video. Director or somone said something about his looks. I don't remember if it was about his nose.

Edit: I googled and it was about his nose and making his skin darker.

Yeah....i don't believe this bs...i don't believe nothing she says actually 🙄. She absolutely said no to darken his skin as if he was proud to be white is 1 thing but looking at the behind the scenes of the film he didn't seem stressed or anything. The ONLY thing i believe is the director told him something that pissed him off & he "cut his hair" but even that.... seems not like mj... all of the stuff he went thru.... he just cut his hair? Which wasn't even all his by 2001 so SOMEBODY LYING! I'm starting to think nothing ever happened. Wish i could just ask Chris myself!

Hard to believe a single word that Cascio said in that book now based on what he has come out with and accusing MJ

Yeh thats the rumor i heard that the director said something bout his looks and mj went to his trailer had a meltdown and cut his hair

Yeah but we have two people saying the same thing about this. That makes it sound believable to me. Also I think we actually should believe the book and not what he says now. If you want to read that part Google search his name and You Rock My World. You find a Tumbrl post.

The thing about MJ cutting his hair is weird, as it was a wig he was wearing back then.

Karen Faye has never seemed to me the most grounded and objective lady out there...

He sings it almost as well as Judy, and the dancing is fine. Also super weird choreography by the women... does not have the same vibe as what the men do in the original if you catch my drift.





I'm pretty sure Judy was high or intoxicated to some degree while doing most of Summer Stock too.
