The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Since uneducated children keep bringing it up, I hope everyone knows I was so adamant on MIB being fake because some idiots decided to leak it first with ai vocals on top, along with it being the only Bryan Loren leak to never be transferred to a single tape before its release to the public.

I think anyone would be right to be extremely suspicious of it being fake with those two issues.

Indeed. I had my doubts hearing those first snippets. Grainy instruments that sounded AI extracted from the seminar recording… and those AI vocals that never were on the song in the first place. Red flags indeed.

But sure enough, once I heard the full song I was very convinced it was real. None of those AI alterations on the snippets were there. Plus, it matched the seminar recording too.
So I’m 90% convinced.
Would have been 100 if it were not for those doctored snippets shared by an unreliable source (the catfish producer) and if I knew the provenance…

Has Damien Shields given his thoughts on the authenticity of the MIB leak?

Michael may've wanted to have her perform at the show, but considering he didn't personally know her, I doubt he would've invited her to appear as a guest vocalist on the RedOne track.

Any track produced by RedOne between 2008 and 2010 could've been big if released as a single, but part of me is kinda glad that those tracks never came out because his other productions have aged poorly and sound dated now imho.

A lot of people on here did not believe it was real for the longest time for exactly the reason you described lol.

What are you mad about? That people suspect leaks are AI? It's a legitimate concern.
 
at this point in time, in big 2025, i think concerns over whether a newly leaked song by the michael jackson is fake or not are absolutely valid considering 1) the mj unreleased community's past, and 2) the current state of like...technology overall
i really don't get the problem here lol

Once something leaks there's a 0% chance of it ever leaking in higher (or in this case, PROPER) quality and it pains me to the core.
Streetwalker '87 was probably my most desired leak besides the finished version of She's Trouble, and that one we got in T40...

It could be that the DAT that it came from was a transfer from another tape, especially since the quality of the audio fluctuates, especially in the 4th verse after the 1st chorus

Edited how so? were there parts that were edited or do you just mean the audio

Also can we please get someone to do a remaster on SW87, I've tried but it didn't turn out well, I'm no audio expert 😭
