Leak the worst stuff for the fun of it and then delete the best outtakes permanently so they'll never be heard again

What You Do To Me, Buffalo Bill*, Make a Wish, Tomboy, Make or Break, Crack Kills, eycAt least release full songs.
Neverland Landing, What's Your Life, Somewhere in Time, Why Can't I Be, Alright Now
i don’t think those should be leaked. I agree with @AlwaysThere. If a song has full vocals and can be potentially released, then keep it in the vault for an official project. If a song is a rough mumble demo (a la Dark Lady), I want it to leak because the estate has no interest in releasing those. At least release full songs.

That's what I mean. If the Estate is going to release songs, let them be full vocals and lyrics. The only way they'd something with rough demos is if they're included with the finished version but I don't want an album full of "da da daaa de de deee.....in the black hills of north Virginia"i don’t think those should be leaked. Ah I misunderstood. Yeah definitely only release fully completed vocals. That's what I mean. If the Estate is going to release songs, let them be full vocals and lyrics. Nobody outside of the Estate would have these songs. At least release full songs.
Neverland Landing, What's Your Life, Somewhere in Time, Why Can't I Be, Alright Now
And unfortunately, we'll probably never hear them lolNobody outside of the Estate would have these songs.
The best songs are with the Estate, not with collectors.
We’re seemingly never getting another album for a long time. I can’t understand Branca. If he’s so money hungry, then why the hell does he not release another album that will make a shit ton of money?i don’t think those should be leaked. I agree with @AlwaysThere. Simply put, albums don’t make money compared to cirque shows, musicals or biopics. We’re seemingly never getting another album for a long time. I can’t understand Branca. If he’s so money hungry, then why the hell does he not release another album that will make a shit ton of money?
It'd be a smart move to release another album after the biopic to capitalize on its success, no?Simply put, albums don’t make money compared to cirque shows, musicals or biopics.
Not speaking on collectors for those but 3 of them aren't in the hands of the Estate. I'm saying those are songs with full vocalsNobody outside of the Estate would have these songs.

ONE, The Musical, The biopic. These projects have been, are and will continue to generate huge profits for them in the future. They only give preference to these projects, especially the upcoming biopic. As for the other projects, the things that long-time fans want...We’re seemingly never getting another album for a long time. I can’t understand Branca. Really? How do you know? I thought the Estate reached out to every collaborator and is in the posession of everything by this time. Not speaking on collectors for those but 3 of them aren't in the hands of the Estate. I'm saying those are songs with full vocals
True… but why not both? Unless they’re in a situation where it’s one or the other (which they 100% aren’t), a quick box set or digital release would be easy secondary funds.Simply put, albums don’t make money compared to cirque shows, musicals or biopics.
It was first written in 1978 but wasn't paid much attention to, a rough demo recording exists. It was then later completely reworked in 1982 before it was then again put on the shelf, that 1982 version wasn't properly mixed tho so Michael asked Bill Bottrell do mix of the 1982 multi-tracks in 1986 which is the version that is released on The Ultimate Collection and Thriller 40.whats the evidence for a 79 version? Ive never seen anything suggesting it being an OTW track other than MJ wanting it to be on OTW Special Edition.
I agree. I’m just going off of the philosophy of the executors, which I don’t agree with. Why not just do a “The Unfinished Sessions” digital Boxset with songs from 2002-2009 that don’t have a place on reissues. At least they’d make a little money from streaming from them opposed to making nothing by keeping them in the vault.True… but why not both? Which 3 do the estate not have. Or do you mean full ownership, but they have the tapes? Not speaking on collectors for those but 3 of them aren't in the hands of the Estate. I'm saying those are songs with full vocals
With respect, there still isn’t a credible source for this. Every book or website I’ve come across doesn’t list one.It was first written in 1978 but wasn't paid much attention to, a rough demo recording exists. You’ve heard this directly from the collectors? Interesting! Not speaking on collectors for those but 3 of them aren't in the hands of the Estate. I'm saying those are songs with full vocals
That’s what I was wondering. @BlackAnon could you give a bit more clarification on what you mean? You’ve heard this directly from the collectors? Interesting!
There have been a few sources that confirm this but a lot of them also added some things that I couldn't confirm as credible, versions of 1978, 1982, 1986, 1991 are the ones that I could confirm 100%, I'm just reading off my notes tho, The Michael Jackson Estate for example says Sunset Driver was written and made completely for Thriller and considered for Bad, while releasing the 1986 mix on Thriller 40With respect, there still isn’t a credible source for this. Didnt Michael use the lyrics of Sunset Driver for the demos of BOTDF? Maybe that’s where the ‘90 date comes fromThere have been a few sources that confirm this but a lot of them also added some things that I couldn't confirm as credible, versions of 1978, 1982, 1986, 1990(iirc) are the ones that I could confirm 100%, I'm just reading off my notes tho, The Michael Jackson Estate for example says Sunset Driver was written and made completely for Thriller and considered for Bad, while releasing the 1986 mix on Thriller 40
sry it's actually 91, Teddy presented the instrumental to Michael and in one of the 91 demos, he sung the first verse of Sunset Driver on top of the Blood On The Dance Floor Instrumental before proceeding with the chorus of BOTDFDidnt Michael use the lyrics of Sunset Driver for the demos of BOTDF? Isn't there a "Future Records" or whatever CD out there somewhere with this on it? 6 ish minutes?sry it's actually 91, Teddy presented the instrumental to Michael and in one of the 91 demos, he sung the first verse of Sunset Driver on top of the Blood On The Dance Floor Instrumental before proceeding with the chorus of BOTDF
From what I've read, Prince has way more unreleased songs and he was much more organized with stuff in the vault. Not trying to making excuses for the MJ Estate though.MJ probably has the largest fan base among deceased singers, yet he receives the fewest releases when compared to Elvis, Prince, and the like. The ratio is simply not right, and only the Estate knows the reason.
