The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Pretty sure they're two distinct tracks, especially if Marlon co-wrote this one. Those are titles we don't really know much background info on.
Probably but it would be interesting if it was an original version of the 2 Bad we know

"Everyone Wants To Be A Movie Star" is one of the titles listed on that handwritten note TMZ found in Jackson's bedroom. No idea if it's from the Thriller sessions, but it's definitely a real track.

I personally wouldn't use Wiki pages as a reference, as they are filled with misinformation.

For The Record would be alright as a surface level text, although it is outdated and contains a good bit of speculation.
Yep. Crush feat. Drake Bell is now Crush feat. Lenny Kravitz lol.

I have little hope for "Too Bad" but why not... In the unconfirmed songs there are many songs that I don't know, but unfortunately without source 🤔

Why Shy
Pretty sure it’s supposed to be just ‘Stay’ rather than ‘With Stay.’

Also, Michaelmania is a tribute of sorts; not by Michael. I have the 7" single myself. It interpolates from Billie Jean among others, if I recall correctly.

Edit: Oh, here it is: discogs. And it’s actually a 12".

I agree with you. But MJ Melody exists and intrigues me.
Besides, I can confirm that "The Groove Man" is a working title envisaged by Rod Temperton, but nothing more.
I'm not even sure which song "The Groove Man" would be the working title of. Thriller? Baby Be Mine? Hot Street? Rolling The Dice? Or maybe even Got The Hots?

That's just rod Temperton naming convention. Like The Groove Line. Thriller was The Midnight Man.

Other than For The Record, which doesn't mentioned Attitude as a Thriller Outtake, is there any reliable sources out there saying it is?

I've always assumed the unreleased songs mentioned in the 1993 Mexico deposition are recorded to different degrees of completion.
This is a hunch on my part though

Given the amount of songs, noted in the deposition, we've now heard since it was recorded for one. Although for me the biggest indication is the recognition in Mike's eyes when certain songs are mentioned. It's as if them being mentioned struck a chord with him, I doubt you'd have that with just lyrics on a sheet of paper or even just instrumental grooves.

Also pre 1993, Mike worked hard and did have a scattergun approach were he was constantly working on something, which unfortunately does mean a lot is incomplete.

i know theyre not really unreleased but still, are the versions we have of we've had enough, twylm, beautiful girl and in the back older mixes or were they all sort of revamped in 04 for tuc?

It's 7:58am here & I just woke up & I wouldn't have ever thought Id have a dream about a unreleased mj track but I had a dream I heard "water" played by mj in the studio but the exact setting was mj in the studio recording "beautiful girl" the funny thing is....when it got to the chorus it was in the exact same format as the leak & I was like what happened & then I woke up🫨

I think that's a reasonable assumption. I wouldn't doubt if some are on the completion level of "Changes", while others may be closer to "Who Do You Know", and possibly a handful like "DYKWYCA". With the volume of ideas, there's no telling.

Sometimes he just made a song because he had fun doing it, it doesn't necessarily mean he wants to release it, that's what happened with Blue Gangsta.
