Brad Buxer revealed the 40th song title on his list - "Song from Moulin Rouge":

Anyone know anything about that title?
 
I personally wish something more exciting than copies of Bryan Loren songs had been found.

There's excitement but this is basically akin to finding a bit of silver instead of pure Gold.

There's a few valuable nuggets but imagine if it was as unheard as Dream Away.

Maybe just knowing all of these exist takes away the surprise. That hasn't happened since Loving You in 2014. Getting to discover and hear it all at the same time.

I assume it's just the song he made for the movie soundtrack that was rejected. As far as I know it doesn't have anything to do with MJ other than Brad played it for him and he said he liked it.

What if Michael released an experimental album? (In the Back style)

I always wonder if MJ were still around, what sort of album he would release next. One of my favourite experimental songs of his is In the Back, for me I feel that song really fits the mould of the electronic/minimalist dark R&B sound that's all the rage nowadays, and it was released almost 10...

In the words of Quincy, "you can't polish doo doo". Michael took the chance, tested the waters and it didn't work.

Listening back to his songs, they are dated and wouldn't have held up but at least he got the opportunity.

This is a rough mix. It sounds like it was done the day of the orchestra session, because the strings parts are all there for inspection. The Voc is too up and too dry, the drums are too loud, etc.
6/91 is my only mix. the orchestra is blended with synths for reasons that became clear when I just now heard this one with a clear orch.

Everyone loves the head-voice in the outro. Me too.
Just that the words aren't there.

It's just occured to me now that Earth Song is as immaculately produced as Billie Jean. Just as incandescent and pristine.

I was stressed for weeks knowing the words weren't there for the outro and I had to snag M just for a couple hours to do it. I've said how he was not on board with my "rock" production and I suspected ES was off the album.
So the History release had the new outro and I was happy with it. Grit and all. But mostly happy that my "rock" version was basically the same.
 
I was looking through Bill Bottrell's tweets and I found someone claiming that they bought the Hayvenhurst tapes from a collector, and along with it they gave info on the date and state of completion of Apocalypse Now. Grain of salt, obviously. But...

Probably, but I don't wanna scare away a potential source because they started being spammed with questions lol. I don't mean to paint a target on anyone here. Just sharing info that may or may not turn out to be true.
 
Anyone found anything on the demo of Someone Put Your Hand Out? As in when specifically that was originally recorded during the Bad sessions. No mention of it in Bill's calendars as such.
 
are the ES vocals (on HIStory album) from the 1990 Dangerous sessions? but just the outro re-recorded?

I’ll give him this: he’s directly communicating with people who HAVE heard the songs or worked on them. That’s more gutsy than most “insiders” are. Somebody will eventually either call him out or affirm him.

I talked with someone who had heard “homeless bound”. They said what they heard was instrumental with sections of homeless people talking.

Are you able to confirm with that source if those are the words that the people on the interviews are saying?

And also a version without the sample was played at the same seminar where that higher quality recording of TYLA originates from, I'm almost certain there's a seminar recording of it which is probably circulating as we speak. The guy on the tweet gave high praises to the song saying it's got one of the best unreleased beats, if that really is true I'm very much hoping that it leaks now lol.

Hot take here, but part of me wishes MJ had finished ES for Dangerous (replacing heal the world) and added the grit vocals at the end and blended with the falsetto voice. He woulda been nearly five years younger so I imagine the grit vocals would have been a lot stronger in 91 than they were in 95. It would have also been a good way to keep the album's sound strong as I always felt HTW slowed it down a little too much. Idk maybe I'm in the minority here.

I also always felt that SPYHO should have replaced HTW and that it should have been a charity single that he performed on tour. But this rant may just be me not being that much of a HTW fan in general lmao

homeless bound has no vocal, just interviews with the homeless.

Apparently the lyrics are correct, but there’s no mj vocals whatsoever. There’s 3 sections of homeless people talking and that’s where the lyrics come from. Surprisingly I think that guy who has the hayvenhurst tracks may be legit
