The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Znop made this. No one has Victory.
Thank you for the confirmation! Too bad it's fake because again I like it and it's pretty much how I imagined 'Victory' to have sounded..

Do you have any idea how this was created, is it based on a existing song from other artists..?

Speaking of PoF, I wonder if the Pepsi version is somewhere in the hands of a collector, how did it even leak in LQ in 2015?
Its video editor had uploaded on his Youtube channel.

edit: wow, it's been almost 10 years now - feels like this has leaked yesterday

As far as I'm concerned nothing has leaked since C1945/Dream Away. Snippets don't count.

^^ It's kinda ironic that we don't talk much about the new tracks on T40
The Toy is just a demo, but is a nice song
Who Do You Know is a bit on the lacking side
Behind The Mask is unfinished and feels a bit empty
Starlight & Got the Hots have been leaked since 2002
What a Lovely Way To Go might be the worst song Michael’s recorded AFAWK
Sunset Driver came out in 2004
She’s Trouble’s demo was leaked for years as well as the final version in lower quality
CGOTR sucks in this context

Horrid sound quality ruins most of T40 for me unfortunately. I still listen to The Toy, though.
Ngl the title “The Toy” is so out of context. Like “I am your toy, I am your boy,” just sounds like Michael is a slave (exaggerated) to the girl he’s singing about lol

Btw not a leak, just wanted to share this here. I was trying to fix the audio levels OC Streetwalker ‘87 to make it sound more rich by upping the bass and treble a bit as to not sound as bad of quality. Lmk what y’all think: https://voca.ro/1gXwaoqlbKQF

Which doesn’t make sense cus isn’t that movie a comedy and not a love movie?
The Toy isn't supposed to be a love song.

synopsis:
An underemployed reporter finds himself literally purchased as a toy for a rich spoiled brat. On one of his bratty son Eric's annual visits, the plutocrat U.S. Bates takes him to his department store and offers him anything in it as a gift. Eric chooses a black janitor who has made him laugh with his antics. At first the man suffers many indignities as Eric's "toy," but gradually teaches the lonely boy what it is like to have and to be a friend.

“The Toy” is alright, nothing special. “Best of Joy” set the bar too high for me.

“What a Lovely Way to Go” is very mediocre imo. I relisten to it every now and again to see if my opinion shifts and it hasn’t yet. Not bad I suppose, but boring.

“Who Do You Know” is outstanding. Genuinely one of my favorite unreleased MJ tunes. Simple, stunning.

Who Do You Know was the only standout on T40 for me, but I've not gone back to any of those songs for a long time honestly.
