The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Gywoom is actually finished, and might just be in the same level as some tracks that did end up on Invincible (the bar isn't very high, but still.)

Turnin' Me Off is no more than a rough idea, a concept, not even meant to be listened to, clearly.
Could you not call GYWOM a “concept” version of Privacy though? It’s complete vocally, yes, but it clearly wasn’t finished and evolved into what is considered the bottom of the barrel as far as Invincible is concerned.

Neither were meant to be listened to of course, but Turnin’ Me Off is quite interesting at least because there’s nothing much to compare it to in MJ’s catalogue. GYWOM sounds like every other Darkchild track but somehow even worse

Nah, it’s been stuck in my head since I heard it. Idk what it is.
Let‘s shake hands.
It’s the same with me.
I‘m constantly humming/singing it in my mind.
Can’t wait to have another listen when I‘m back home from work.

Yeah, the quality is subpar, but worlds better than those snippet overkills…

Maybe my taste is easily satisfied.
But it’s MJ man, he cannot do no wrong for me.
I‘m here for it, even when he sings the alphabet backwards, sitting on a toilet…

I am sorry but comparing GYWOOM to Turnin' Me Off is utterly insane.

Worst Bad "song" if you can even call it that, I wouldn't, because it's nowhere near anything we've ever heard from the Bad sessions
Well that’s your take.
I like it more than GYWOOM.
And I‘d slot it in over „Messin‘ Around“ regarding Bad outtakes. And I like „Messin“ quite a bit.

No??? It's clearly a finished track, just because it's unreleased does NOT mean it's unfinished.
There's literally nothing that indicates that it's unfinished.
Even if it was a "concept" of Privacy, two things can be true at once.
Al Capone is a complete track (not the version we heard specifically) and yet it was being developed alongside Smooth Criminal

Yeah, after a few more listens the novelty wore off. It’s interesting but not my favorite (though the bridge is phenomenal).

It’s just so good to have new MJ.
And this is yet another reason why the Estate has no interest releasing stuff from the vault. Not worth the time and money. This was the only way we were ever going to get to hear this and I am not going to be negative and complain.

The reactions to this song (TMO) have ranged from people liking to saying it’s his worse song or the “first bad MJ song”

Y’all could not handle World of Candy 😭😭😭😭😭

Genuinely would be awful for the community if the whole song was posted in its entirety, I cannot imagine a world where you can just casually listen to full WOC on YouTube, genuinely it makes you grieve after hearing it.

I'm just tired of things leaking in a subpar quality all the time. Why can't I enjoy the worst of MJ in hi-fi? Because essentially what we are arguing over is the scraps and leftovers that weren't supposed to see the light of day had he survived.

Had Michael lived, we would have new songs but we probably also would never hear most of what we have heard post 2009. We might have heard TMO in Bad50 or something like that. And we would probably have never heard Don't be Messin Round, Free or Im So Blue. If Bad25 would have even happened.
