The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

That's written by Michael. Could've been for Off the Wall though
There're two entries with same title. One version is registered with Mijac and lists Michael as its writter; the other Randy & Peacock.

Are there any other Triumph outtakes?

Got To Find A Way Somehow (written by Michael)

Where Are The Jacksons Outtakes?
Michael Jackson co-wrote the song “This Had To Be” with The Brothers Johnson. Jackson originally wrote the song in 1979 under the title “You Not Me” for The Jacksons' album Triumph. The song didn't make the cut and was given to The Brothers Johnson, who re-titled it “This Had To Be”. Jackson also provided backing vocals on the song. The song appeared on The Brothers Johnson's 1980 album Light Up the Night, which topped the R&B album charts. Quincy Jones produced the song.

Not all of these were "outtakes" from Thriumph sessions.

You not me is This Had To Be (released by Brothers Johnson).

Slipped Away seems like it would be similar to Time Waits for No One.

Hallucinations is a cool track but I am glad the Porcaro vibes remained exclusive to Thriller era stuff. Makes Human Nature and the like much more special.
Agree. I feel like MJ made a right call not using his stuff for every album. It would’ve started to feel rote, like how every album from Thriller onward had at least one rock song. Great songs all of them, but the individuality makes it even better.

Well with the rock songs it at least has a different style and production hand to it every time so it felt different for at least Thriller through HIStory.

That’s true. I guess I more mean the idea that a rock inspired song will show up regardless. Though of course the Porcaro songs are different because they’re very aesthetically similar.

One word album titles
Uptempo start to the album
Usually a one word title at the start (Bad-Invincible)
Usually a duet
Usually a big choir ballad
A rock song
What other conventions to an MJ song?

They're demos that MJ had input in. There's no MJ vocals.

I find it hard to get excited about hearing them if they're gonna be remixed or changed, considering MJ only contributed ideas, and we'd have no way of knowing what they were or if they've even been used in a remixed form.
