The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

All I want is for "Dark Lady" ( ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶s̶n̶i̶p̶p̶e̶t̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶D̶.̶I̶.̶E̶) to leak, any other song out there is literally secondary. Do you know the likehood of it leaking @arisenow? Is it as likely to leak like you said "Victory" is or is it also being closely guarded?
My title supports you

Literally what proof do we have that @arisenow is a legit “leaker” again?
Why would you consider me a „leaker“? I collect music, nothing more and nothing less. You can ask me questions and I try to reply with as much info as I can give.
What was it that you didn't like about the song? I don't really have any expectations for the vocals since it's a scratch vocal take, but how's the composition like?
I actually quite like the vocals. I like this kind of rough vocal style. The fact that it's one of Michael’s last vocal takes makes it special. I’m just saying that people have high hopes and might be disappointed when they hear it.

Composition-wise, it's quite cool. There are different sounds that I haven’t heard before. I’m so glad it’s not just another Buxer song. It's probably the best Neff-U has ever done. And that says a lot, as I’m really not a big fan of his.

How close is the Remake of the song by the MJJ Various Channel compared to the Original one? Thanks for the insight.

John Barnes and Michael and I worked on this a bit at Hayvenhurst.
I remember the hook. "make or break" and I don't think there were verse lyrics sung.
Just another incomplete idea that fell off the list.
Sounds accurate. I'm not sure where a finished 1989 version comes from

You've heard other Neff-U songs? Are you able to give out the titles?

I'm really interested in hearing just about any song of his, even if just an instrumental track. No disrespect to Buxer, but these tracks of his that leaked are cool to hear but I'm starting to grow tired of them, they all feel too similar to other works that Michael had already done in the past. I'm interested in hearing something that truly feels new for MJ, like something that belongs to a new era. So far "Dark Lady" and "Hold My Hand" are the only "final era" songs we've heard that feels new.

Except Boy No😉
Give me that one, it sounds so good from the snippets we have😭
Chamber’s newest recreation blew it out of the park, sounds so good!
(Although we know the talking part in the beginning is from another song)
@GYWOOM just drop it bro (even if you don’t have it full)

Another thing… it would be nice to see more Bill calendars! To see what songs were worked on at certain times during the Dangerous era.

Especially if there were other songs that were revisited during the sessions briefly like Make or Break. Other vault material not already mentioned.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding but how does this insinuate full vocals? You can like a song with little or no vocals. Monster is one of my favorites ever for example.
Same with Garbage. That's a good song and it has zero vocals in the slightest.

Plus Joe himself said it only has a reference vocal and a refrerence bridge alongside full background vocals.

@arisenow Here's where I have a question, and it also applies to @GYWOOM, but:

Is there anything recorded in MJ’s lastest years that we haven't heard yet but that you guys would consider a really good song? Not a loop, or instrumental thing. Really hope theres something better recorded those years

And don't mention Rocker or Boy No, I don't find those that appealing.

well those are the last good songs, the rest is just loops and instrumentals. Don't Make Me Stay is instrumentally polished though

Not close at all.

Funny you should ask. Some of them don't even have proper titles. That being said, Neff-U worked on a few ideas for Michael and remixed a few songs, like "TYLA," but we've seen how that turned out.

"Hold My Hand" is interesting. The first three or four rough mixes are exactly my type of music. Hopefully, they will surface one day.

Good as in Dangerous? No.

I've been thinking about the album Dangerous. Why don't I talk about it?

For the Dangerous tour, Michael requested different mixes so he could hear what the songs would sound like on stage.

This included songs that hadn't been performed or that weren't initially planned, such as "Who Is It", "Dangerous", and "Will You Be There."

Most of these mixes were done by Michael's team, and they're still my favorites. They beat every other unreleased song.

Some insight on HIStory:
Did you know that Michael was afraid people would find out he couldn't perform the HIStory tour as well as he had hoped? MP wanted to set him up in a studio, but Michael was afraid that others would find out. So, he recorded the vocals in MP's private studio.

How do they differ from the version that leaked? And which mix is the leaked version supposed to be? Have you heard other songs from the Akon sessions, also? Akon mentioned they've worked on 3-4 more songs together but they're just rough ideas.

sorry i got confused at the last part. you mean vocals for the tour itself? (thank you for the info)

Yes, Michael was uncomfortable with others knowing that he wasn't singing live. That's why he re-recorded the songs. They are virtually the same as the album versions, though. That's how perfectly he sang them! :) MP tells a nice story about this.

I'll get back to you on this.

I think Bill said he would do them at some point iirc

This is hypocritical in so many ways lmfao. You just mad that songs you spent hundreds and thousands on leaked? Boo hoo
