Not a lot of people have it, and I'm 99% positive we're not gonna hear it until a long time. But then "Turnin' Me Off" did leak on a random day when all we had beforehand was one snippet so I guess anything is possible lol.

He mentioned the song in an interview from 1982 but if I were to guess, it would've been recorded after OTW but before Thriller.

It's possible Michael did a rough demo to Stand By Me before Reiner decided against it but when John Barnes was asked about it, he said "I’m not aware of one." Someone suggested it could've been an early Hayvenhurst demo with Matt and Avril and John said "Brent Avril did not work as an engineer with us at that time. He was Tech support and also designed needed equipment when necessary." When asked if it could've been done with Swedien, John said "could be but I’m not aware of it."

John Van Nest should be a good person to ask. He handled all of MJ's demos for the Triumph and pre-Thriller eras.

The inclusion of unreleased songs is still up in the air, but the soundtracks for Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody were announced between 3 and 5 weeks before the movie’s release. I’d guess we’ll get an announcement next month.
 
IIRC correctly Brad Sundberg mentioned an assistant/engineer of Bryan Loren, who was he?

Is there a list of people who worked with Michael? So we can stalk them with questions, before they are no longer with us..? :) :(

Richard Cottrell was his engineer… Not to be confused with Bill of course.

Mike Smallcombe interviewed as many people who worked with Michael as he could in his book, quite a few stories in that.

Likely. All we know is it's one of those songs mentioned at the 1993 deposition. There are also these words from Bill


That one I truly don't remember.
3 1/2 hours out of a year and a half.
In Hayvenhurst, there were so many of these, 38 years gone and I still can call up the ones we started from scratch, and finished. Recording full vocals and BG's at night with me and MJ alone is what imprints a song in my head. But most of those went on the album and into history so that helps.
"Sunset Driver" is an example of a multitrack tape MJ asked me to mix. As such, I don't remember the song.
"Bad Girl" could have been like that. You would find other referenced to it in other documents.
Or, maybe it was just a quick groove and some chords that JB put down and never worked on again.
