The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Yeah, there being multiple mixes means nothing in regards to if there's a more complete version. There are always multiple mixes made and MJ got people to do new mixes of stuff all the time just so he could listen, even if he didn't add anything.
Especially Sunset Driver. Michael had Bill Bottrell do a mix of that song in 1986 from the 1982 tapes without adding much else. Likewise with when Michael had Bill mix the demo of “State of Shock”…

There is always going to be slightly different mixes and versions of a song anyhow. What we really need is the last known version or mix that Michael worked on in his lifetime. That would be the most complete version in anyone’s books.

Not sure if this was mentioned here just found it fascinating cus i love this song

Chicago 1945 had 9 vocal tracks MJ did all back to back to back without stopping.

The first version is just a synth jam by Steve that he gave to Michael for inspiration for a song idea.

Shame this song along with Dream Away prolly won't drop anytime soon if ever.
Did you put the info on the tracker? Also, I'm guessing the version we got from the leak is derived from the live drums version?

to correct, without adding anything else

Sunset Driver never had a polished stereo mix done so he gave the tape to Bill to make a proper mix of it. Michael also regularly went through some tapes to get inspiration for sounds or anything really for some new tracks

I’m surprised he never came up with an idea for a Sunset Driver/Speed Demon mashup.

not sure how much all of this was stuff you guys were aware of, know some of it was but some of it i had never seen online before. Initially shared this message with fellow tracker editors but figured I could post it here as well.

Monster DOES have more recorded vocals than just the lead vocal bit we heard, whether or not they appear in any mixdowns i'm not sure of, he recorded so many vocals that the tape was completely full by the time he was done.
MJ did beatboxing for the song.
The track was recorded over the course of 1 week.
The version with the complete hook is from 1999 (although Damien said 1998 for some reason? Either someone misremembered or there are versions from both 98 and 99 with the full chorus)
The instrumental was already well evolved before the chorus was added.
MJ absolutely loved the mix that was done for his headphones.
There were multiple rough mixes given to Michael to listen to outside of the studio.

I still have no clue who the other singer on the song is though which is the main thing i wanna figure out lol.
This song shoudl leak @GYWOOM, @Korgnex, @arisenow, please leak it
