The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

the estate... friend?
MJ had mannequin friends, so why not?😂

PS: bottom right on the back cover of Centipede vinyl "In dedication to my mannequin friends. -Michael Jackson"

Disagree, imo PoF, Loving You and maybe even DYKWYCA are more polished than that one, great hidden gem tho.

Just relistened to the bad 25 bonus tracks again, 6/6 straight up bangers (yes, even Don’t Be Messin’ ‘Round)
PoF isn’t finished though, it still lacks just a tad. The added overdubs in the Pepsi version make it feel more complete. @Beano Wild made a mix that added said overdubs from the Pepsi version to the main version, it isn’t perfect, some parts of it are too loud, but it makes it feel more complete. Not to mention that PoF was (seemingly) sent to Quincy per Bill, so theres a chance theres a more developed version out there. It’s also possible that the Pepsi version overdubs are a product of Q.

If someone made a mix combining the 1990 version (the instrumental from the 2020 Korg Redux, which isn’t confirmed to be from 1990, but all signs point to it) and the mix made for Bad 25, that would be the definitive version of DBMR if someone were to make it. I’ve tried before, but the BPMs are very out of sync and I’m not very good with syncing up

You buy these remasters to use as coasters, the second disc with new stuff is what actually matters, silly Ashley.
Does it matter when it sounds as bad as it does?
I personally haven't listened to any of the Thriller 40 bonuses since they came out. And one of my most wanted songs was She's Trouble...
It's just not worth it. Even B25 was better mastering wise (and that's a very low bar.)

Is this legit, It's a tad too early to already be teasing BAD 40, but at the time, you’d expect for the estate to own the domain bad40.com.
Wow good find. The estate also used Bad25.com back in 2012. That artwork on the Bad40 website really has the estate written all over it lmao

Edit: I’ve checked for a sitemap, the website code and nothing else comes up other than what appears to be that placeholder “Bad40” banner page with the image. Def something in the works here though.

It’s legit.

Still wild to me that those tabloid stories about stuff being taken from MJ's home by Latoya ended up being true all these years later. Definitely something I remember seeing at the time and thinking it was made up lol.
I remember that day precisely!! Til this day idk wth she took but since then ive always wondered!

Smh they really don't care about anything after 87....
To be fair, there's barely any leftovers post-87 that's complete enough to include. The Loren stuff can potentially be used now that his estate is in charge, but beyond that all we have left that's releasable (that we know of) is "Throwin' Your Life Away," "You Were There," "Best of Joy," "Joy," "If You Don't Love Me," maybe "Ghost of Another Lover," maybe "Dreams," mayybe "Rich Girl," "Faces," "You Are The One," "The World Is No Church," "I Was The Loser," and "I Have This Dream"

(not including the will.i.am and RedOne tracks, of course)
