I have a long and heartfelt story to tell... about.. Me! One of my favorite topics!

SO Y'ALL BETTER LISTEN UP.

Ok it started in 2013! That was 12 years ago! I was 3 at the time. My mom being the fashion Russian immigrant that she is, put me in ballet classes. Obviously I have no memories of this (because I was 3) but my mom showed me pictures of me in my first show, Aladdin. I attended ballet classes once a week every week religiously. By the time I was able to form memories, ballet was already a huge part of my life. Actually one of the first memories I have of ballet was me really really loving it! I did ballet every week up until the age of 10. That was the same time covid started so we were forced to quit. Up until 2020, I've have been doing ballet for 7 years! (Michael's favorite number) I quit ballet because of one, covid, and two, 10 year old Julia was not in a good time in her life. (I'm doing WAYYYYY better now thankfully!!) and also my instructor made me cry every class. After I quit I thought I'd never go back to ballet ever again. BOY WAS I WRONG! K, the idea of ballet started in December of 2024. It was around Christmas time and a random idea popped in my head: I'd like to see Nutcracker the ballet. Because I've performed the Nutcracker many many times before but have never been part of the audience. So I asked my boyfriend (yes, he's been the same one all this time we are deeply in love) if he'd liked to come. Unfortunately tickets were all sold out so we didn't go. Back in December ballet was merely a thought. Something you give a few seconds of your time too. Fast-forward to June of this year. I was texting one of my friends and I sent a video of Russian folklore. With the video I sent some emojis that represented my culture (mine you, Russian is my first language) and with one of the emojis I sent this one 🩰 and that SINGULAR emoji unlocked a WAVE of memories and the love that I had for ballet. Then, like magic, I wanted to do ballet again. I went up to my mom and told her that and she was so delighted to hear my sudden change of heart. She said I can start taking classes in August because I want to come back from my France trip first. Also, I have a pretty busy summer 😅 And here we are today right now. Because I haven't done ballet in 5 years, I'm watching beginner videos and practicing with them / dancing along with them. Thankfully the moves are coming back to me quicker than I expected! Thank you for staying to the end of my story! <3
