The world’s tallest living tree – 115.7 metres!

“Hyperion, which is a coast redwood, towers at 380 feet. For reference, that's 1.25 times bigger than the Statue of Liberty in New York.

Named after one of the Titans in Greek Mythology, Hyperion was discovered by two researchers in 2006. The park is home to several of the world's tallest known trees, including Helios and Icarus, which are 377 feet and 371 feet respectively.” (npr)

Chester chooses chestnuts,
cheddar cheese with chewy chives.
He chews them and he chooses them.
He chooses them and he chews them…
those chestnuts,
cheddar cheese and chives
in cheery, charming chunks

So glad you posted this.

The thing about British light entertainment in the 70's and 80's is, it could be utter crap and yet it could also be luminous and wonderful. Of course, it helps when you have a master interviewer like Terry. He was fab. :)

I've just popped this over on the Stevie thread, it's so fabulous. It really needs to be everywhere.

@filmandmusic needs to see this, also.

Yep! 3 channels (2 national, one local) and I remember the excitement when the 1st German private channel RTL aired, around end of 80s lol.

My grandparents tv looked exactly like this, and I remember the fun times when our local tv repair service guy came to fix their tv (it needed fixing often lol): the guy liked to talk and spread the recent village gossip. My brother and i loved to watch him examining the tv intestines and showing us where all the cartoon characters lived :ROFLMAO:

Oh, same! 2 BBC channels and then ITV was part national but also had local versions. And for years and years, that period between midnight and 6 am (or whatever, can't remember the exact arrangement) when there was no tv, we had the test card.

Is it very Zen or is a mini horror movie, lol. :ROFLMAO:

"My biggest concern now is that Mrs. Jackson, whose 94th birthday is next month, will still have the opportunity to see the film. To finally see her son, because that's what he was in the first place, being rehabilitated and honored for his inimitable influence on this world, through his music and last but not least, through his ceaseless humanitarian care.I can only imagine the pain she went through these last 30+ years, it's high time she gets her son back."
