As we need to place the cut somewhere, artists are eligible for this catalog list when their career started at least 20 years ago. Rihanna, newly eligible, is the highest entry (#5), but couldn’t outpace Shakira and Eminem, who continue to shine on YouTube year after year.

Latin acts are at an advantage there, with 14 of them making the list. Just like the main list, these are split between the Latin American stars (Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Aventura, etc.) and the Regional Mexican legends (Vicente Fernández, Los Temerarios, La Arrolladora Banda El Limon, etc.).

Even the English-language artists are heavily impacted by Latin America. The strength of this continent in YouTube’s global results means that famous artists there, from Linkin Park to Coldplay to Michael Jackson, chart very high. The latter also adds a strong Asian success, which boosts David Guetta and Maroon 5, too.

Going backwards again, 40+ years ago, Mexicans Vicente Fernández and Los Temerarios reigned supreme in 2025. Mexico’s love for historical artists places 6 of them in the top 11. There was no reggaeton back then, so the biggest Latin artists from the remaining countries were local legends like Colombian Vallenato leaders Binomio De Oro De America and Diomedes Diaz, or Ricardo Arjona from Guatemala.

In this Anglosphere, nobody matches Michael Jackson, who owns a comfortable lead over Metallica. The Top 5 is completed by Céline Dion, Queen, and AC/DC. The 10 is pretty stacked as well, with ABBA, the Beatles, Madonna, Bon Jovi, and Whitney Houston placing 6-10. At #11, clearly not the most expected name: Modern Talking. The German pop duo, Europe’s 80s guilty pleasure, retains an unavoidable organic appeal, led by the nearly 400 million views of Cheri Cheri Lady, a viral song from India to Brazil to Turkey to Vietnam.
 
Ugh - Chartmasters is meaningless. They even state "we are not a chart". And isn't it racist to exclude Indians?
