Hi, I’m new here but a lifelong fan of Michael (and I’m quite old 😬).

Been reading for years but, only just worked out how to join.

I wanted my first post to be a big thank you to; beltrano, Annita, et al, for all you hard work in this amazing thread.

And to make sure I keep it ‘on topic’:

MJ currently has 4 Albums in the top 10 on the WORLDWIDE ITunes Album Charts!

And, a good few just outside. Take that critics! 😂

I knew MJ would blow up the charts if the film was well received - by the fans and public (which it has!), but I didn’t envisage HOW MASSIVE it would be 💪

I should never have doubted the GOAT (as I think you youngsters used to say.

MJ has been #2 on Global Digital Artist Ranking (used by most fans of other artists to ‘claim status’) for quite a few days - overtaking everybody along the way - snd catching #1 each day.

MJ might not make it to #1 but, believe someone who follows Charts and is obsessive over stats (ME 😂) THIS IS HUGE!!

I’m not sure a lot of people realise, how big this is.
 
Oh, and before anyone says it;

You don’t get many (any?) points for being #1 in Oman (no disrespect) or #6 in Luxembourg (no disrespect-honest) ☺️

You get to #2 by being HUGE in major markets, across the world. 😉👍

Thanks. I observed but was wondering a bit how this statistic is made. It reacts so quickly and strongly. And why are the points soo different between different streaming services. Anyway, great to hear that it is a meaningful!

No worries.

Like a few, ‘Chart Geeks’ I’ve been following this site, and others, for decades. This one has become, for some time, the go to for those wanting to see what’s really happening across the world, with charts (Apple, Deezer, iTunes, Spotify, YouTube. et al).

Beltrano (bow) will correct me if I’m wrong;

MJ does very well - for a legacy artist with, normally no new releases - around the 150-200 points mark ish most of the time?

I take an interest at Halloween, when for a few weeks before and after, he moves up to 500 + points? (My memory isn’t what it used to be but, don’t think I’m far off).

He’s currently at a peak of;

7367 points! Yes - 7367!!

That’s unprecedented, to my knowledge.
 
If this helps people get a true picture of MJ’s current success;

Again, these are massive numbers for those of us that follow the chart stats - MASSIVE!

You/I/we may not be majorly aware of one or two of the above but - again, believe me they must be current, big in big countries and, most of them are touring and or have albums and singles out now.

Oh and, as far as I’m aware, they’re all alive and personally active on social media and available for talk shows etc.
