The Michael Jackson Musical: 'MJ'

Did I say it was a big flop?
Well not directly but what are you moaning about? It's been extended, twice.

Did they do that as a favor to the Estate or something? Surely that's all you need to know for how well it's doing?

I'm moaning at you, putting words in my mouth.

I never labelled it a flop. I want it to do well and last many years on stage.

Went a few weeks ago - loved it . Much better than I had ever anticipated! May consider going again. It was not Myles Frost - it was his understudy Michael but he was exceptional too ! I wore normal smart casual attire - but did buy an overpriced t shirt! 😄

Occasionally the audience would heeee heee and aooow shamone which although is funny can get annoying!

Have fun those who are planning to go - I am mighty pleased about its success! Keeps our main man and his music alive! 💗

"The King of Pop still reigns in Germany, thanks to the international touring version of MJ: The Michael Jackson Musical. Jackson’s longtime estate attorney, John Branca, claims that tickets for the Hamburg opening in 2025 are selling out, with the potential to be the show’s largest market. Additional productions in London, Las Vegas, and the U.S. tour—separate from the Broadway show—pull in $6 million weekly."

My sister is a secondary/high school teacher and they had a recent trip from Ireland to London with a class. They had chosen MJ the Musical and as part of their trip the students and teachers were given a choreography session/lesson. 1 half of the class did Beat It and the other half did Dangerous (which funny enough isn't in the show) but I was insanely jealous.

She said the class loved the show, but there was a technical issue just after the interval and the delay made the show feel a bit long unfortunately.

Remember people crying about how this wasn't successful, shouldn't be happening.. LOL
Apparently the advance ticket sales for the Hamburg opening are going well. True, it could just be PR from John Branca but I don't see why. The media would find out pretty quickly if it wasn't true. I'm taking it at face value for now.

Very pleased. :)
