The Official 'Michael' Bio-Pic Thread

I keep thinking its Bruno Mars!

It was cool yeah, but agree. It's not going to make anyone want to see the film or draw new eyes to it etc. I imagine it will start to heat up massively though.

The rumour re: allegations was that Universal nearly pulled out of the project, right? I'm sure when the Branca story was first posted it was mentioned somewhere as well as Cirque cancelling 'One'.
I do not feel comforted by this if indeed it is true.

There is no doubt at all and no matter how much this takes its all the knock on effects that make that change! I feel jaafar will show how hard it really was to be a little boy (obviously this would be younger michael) but soon after jaafar shows it. I hope it shows the shyness, vunerability of this boy that becomes the greatest and most famous man in the world.

Tell me something exaactly what do fans want of unprecedented promotion if you could do it yourself. For me i feel its building.

MJ has recovered, but LN was an absolute disaster and very easily could've killed any mainstream hopes for anything MJ again. Absolutely everything was in the balance, including Cirque, The Musical, this film and we know for definite they cancelled projects because of it. Don't forget the rumours of other projects, like This is It being redone with modern artists.

The Cascio's, facing financial trouble knew they could strike while the iron is hot, and effectively trapped the Estate into a lose/lose situation.

Fortunately, as I said, MJ recovered, but it easily could've gone the other way.

We're still more than a month away from release so my guess is they'll go into full promotion mode by the end of month with a possible final trailer or clip to follow
When they release the final trailer I hope they give us something new and we hear MITM 🤞😩 even to give us a bit of hope that it will be in it .

Saw someone linking to this article from last year on social media. Interesting quote:

"When we shot the first time we found that Michael’s catalogue is so huge, there are so many incredible songs, and we did a lot of performance. I think we were at an hour-and-a-half of just performance, without anyone saying a word of dialogue. So that’s what has led to us to try to expand the narrative."

One can hope that the advertising of biopic will not be damaged by the Cascio lawsuit and that the film will not record the desired numbers

Very interesting, I wonder if they just mean last scene for Joe and not Michael.

Unless they’re starting with that Bad tour performance then going all the way back and ending with Victory 😬
It's normal for the press to attend a screening where they're shown a collection of clips from a movie. The Victory Tour scene was probably the final scene of the bunch shown during that screening and that's why she was referring to it as "the final scene".

I think they might recreate the moment that Mike announced he was leaving The Jacksons on the Victory Tour.

The happy dance Mike did after he quit still makes me laugh

I think it'll be more dramatic in the film
More importantly... would the "State of Shock" snippet make it into the film if so?
