The Official 'Michael' Bio-Pic Thread

This would fit with previous statements:

Regarding the "Buffalo Bill" snippet, the poster revealed yesterday that his buddy "the insider" made it as an April Fool's Day joke and it was posted to see the reaction it would get. He didn't think that anyone would take him seriously.

It is NOT real! Like others have said, the background vocals sound NOTHING like the Jacksons, who have a distinct sound. The poster said that they used Suno and sampled of Don't Stand Another Chance (sang by Janet and produced by Marlon and John Barnes right before Buffalo Bill), and he cleverly edited in ad-libs from State of Shock and snippets from Bad (that's where the "shoot" ad-libs come from). The "whisper" lyric at the very end of the clip comes from Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming (Too Good to Be True)! The poster and his buddy were apparently using Suno AI to "imagine" what the song would sound like as a little experiment. I'm actually surprised that so many people were fooled by it, but it does sound pretty good!

The post got 20k views and over 200 likes, but a couple of fans, namely Jackson Dynasty, didn't find the joke funny...
The poster clearly felt guilty about the post and has already deleted the clip! He said that he has the utmost respect for Michael and that he never meant any harm to his legacy or the fans.

So, all in all, let's just say that this was an April Fool's joke that got out of hand! Again, it's surprising that so many believed it was real, but on the other hand, whoever made it did a good job. They did their research and used Don't Stand Another Chance as the basis for the song, which is probably close to what Buffalo Bill would've sounded like production wise. I think it's best that we look at the clip more so from an experimental standpoint. Whoever made it was experimenting with what the song would sound like, but IT WAS NOT REAL!

As a content creator myself who dabbles with AI tools, this whole experience has made me wonder where we should draw the line on harmless pranks, AI creations and remixes. I'm wondering should I just stop messing with AI altogether and stop using it to create/edit music. Obviously, there are lots of fans who post "snippets" all the time on YouTube, claiming to be real. This guy and his friend at least had enough ambition to make the song sound convincing! As a content creator, I can understand him wanting to experiment with what the song could've sounded like using other Victory/Bad era songs as a guide. But at the same time, trying to fool fans the way he did was bound to make waves, even if it was just a (late) April Fool's joke. Maybe had he just shared it instead of pranking and saying that an "insider" gave it to him, then Jackson Dynasty wouldn't have been so upset. Jackson Dynasty recalled the whole Cashio tracks incident. As an MJ purest myself, I don't even listen to the posthumous remixes because I feel they distort his legacy. I sort of feel like this poster was trying to step into the shoes of people like Timbaland or Drake who tamper with/remix Michael's unreleased songs to create, experiment and make them "better" (so they say). At the same time, we all know Michael loved pranks. Maybe that's how the guy was looking at it, who knows.

But whichever way you look at it, I can tell by reading his posts that this guy is genuinely sorry about the prank, which is why he deleted it.

You guys will be getting something to listen to before the early access release date that will surround the movie, hopefully you find it be an enjoyable listen.

Disclaimer:
Not MJ music...

Got my tickets secured finally. First showing of the day, IMAX locked and loaded. Can't wait!!!! Just trying to work out how many times I'm going to see it on opening day lmao. Nowhere to pre order the cups or merch from what I've seen yet.

There is actually a scene where Joseph uses a belt.
What is so shocking about this?

Why would anyone ever doubt there would be scenes like this when the Jacksons american Dream (which Joe himself signed off on and approved) showed him beating the kids with belts, switches and his own hands multiple times?

I feel like some fans create stuff to be outraged or worried about without even thinking logically.

The response to the Jaafar interview on Kimmel has been crazy online lol. I think it's hit something like 20m views across platforms
I suspect that no one will ever become as famous as quickly as Jaafar. I hope he makes something of it and releases his own music soon. All the top producers should have taken notice of him by now.
