Meh. Michael is dead, he didn't sanction this. It's just a bunch of lawyers had a good idea to enrich their bank balance.

Even the stuff while he was alive, I wasn't desperate for it to be successful. It doesn't matter. If I like something, I listen to it. My opinion of the quality doesn't go up just because other people like it.

Exactly. It's a shame they were too afraid to cover all aspects of his life. Seems like they just want to pick and choose the most convenient and most marketable parts of his life. And those aren't the ingredients of a good biopic.

By design. The whole point of the movie is to make members of the public buy Thriller.

We should think ourselves lucky they didn't try to force an unreleased track in as a shallow purchase incentive.

Brazilian cinema chain Cinemark just released their “Michael” cup that will be available in their cinemas across the country.
Surprisingly, this is actually Michael Jackson on the cup and not Jaafar Jackson which makes it even more special!

People today mainly know the cleaned up Disney versions of those old fairy tale stories. The original stories are different. Like in the original Pinocchio story, he kills the cricket. Pinocchio is also basically a deviant brat. Peter Pan isn't really a good guy originally.

The whole MJ being this Peter Pan image I have to agree is wearing thin. I’ve never agreed with the whole sleepover situations or the quite clearly unhealthy obsession with childhood and children in general. Michael was mentally ill in his later life.

Hopefully this film will at least give the audience a better understanding of who he was and why he sought comfort in children.

I love the book, but Peter Pan is not someone MJ should have been comparing himself to - at all. Reading the book as an adult completely soured me on that whole outlook.

I wonder if this scene is one of the reshoots, taking it from 92 to 88 as opposed to scrapping it altogether. I'll be keeping my eyes out for any quick cuts featuring a red trim collar!

Yeah we've already seen that Jaafar can pull off the Dangerous era look, and MJ in the 2000's didn't look too different from how he did during that era (just thinner and with a different wig, really) so I believe it can be done with Jaafar as well. I don't think it should be a concern lol

I certainly hope so! If they want the first movie to be as strong as possible MITM has to be included in some form.

It would be easy enough to change it to a Bad tour performance and then incorporate real MJ footage at the end possibly from Moonwalker or an upscaled Wembley version.

The idea of the film ending with Bad to me, just doesn’t feel like a feel good factor send off. If we got a fully fledged MJ doing Bad at the start that would be one hell of an opening.

Or if it is at the end, give us Bad and then MITM

One thing going against this is the soundtrack, as it would appear to be chronological, but maybe not. Starting with Bad would actually be great and unexpected.
