The "Please request 'Thriller'" campaign

Hi everybody.

I used to start a thread every year on MJ message boards to ask people to request Thriller on the local radio stations, but haven't done it for a couple of years.

Halloween is less than 2 weeks away, so please can I ask EVERYBODY to frequently request Thriller on their local and international radio stations???

This year I think it's especially important to make sure that this song is heard by as many people as possible. Make this Halloween an MJ love-fest!

Also, feel free to also request other MJ tunes (e.g. Threatened, Is It Scary etc) if the radio station has a policy where it plays album tracks, but be aware that you should ALWAYS also request Thriller as a backup option. If they can't play album tracks they may still play Thriller.

P.S Wouldn't it have been a GREAT idea if Sony had released a compilation of 'scary' themed MJ songs for halloween?

They could have put out an EP with Thriller, Is It Scary, Ghosts and Threatened on itunes and sent promos to all radio stations.
They could have released 'Threatened' as the 'new single'!!

Great idea! Every little helps! However I don't like the idea of threatened ever being released as a single, its one of his weakest tracks IMO.

Where did Thriller come in the Uk charts last year? Some fan told me number 36.. is that true?

Just checked, it got to number 35 in Nov 2008

So surely this year it will do better, I mean there is still people buying his music since his death, there is also the new film that comes out the same week and the 'new' album... PLUS its like the biggest halloween tune around

I will do they should def show ghosts somewhere too. The EP would have been a good idea for halloween too. Not sure about threatened as the 'new single' though. I'll probably get attacked for this - but i wish they'd release 'hold my hand'h34r: even though MJ isn't on it as much as he should be.

We all need to request it the week leading up to halloween which is next week

Hopefully it will break into the Uk top 40
