Michael's voice is always so uplifting. ❤️
Very true. Calming zin, I had forgotten the engaging emotional experience of listni g to his tonality through ear thingys not on a screen.
so so so grateful they still put out a physical form of his art , and not just on the (to me) - where is it - i cant see it?- i cant hold it- digital stuff. That's when id revolt the sir branca, lol

This 1000x. Gotta have my CD's, wend. Can't be doing with my music floating around in the ether. I need it to be tangible. I need booklets - even though CD booklets are usually crap bc they are too small. I need photos.

That said, had a bit of a moment on Friday - had a hell of a job getting Disc 2 out of the case. Thought I was going to end up breaking the damn thing. Crisis averted but only just, lol.

Very calming. Very emotional. Friday and Saturday were both very up and down days, various reasons, but the sound of Michael's voice was so helpful, so calming, so uplifting or just distracting me from the nonsense. And then, even apart from ups and downs, it's just so all-encompassing to listen to him 'properly'. Listening online can be really convenient and, of course, if it's something that hasn't been released - Adam at the Milan gig, omg! - then, yeah, for sure! But for 'real' listening I need my CD's and sometimes even the radio.

I just said to someone else, when I listened to this first time I only got halfway through and gave up. It wasn't speaking to me so decided to leave it for another day. Then last night heard it on the radio and it blew me away. I loved it. Helped that it was radio - everything sounds so much better, so much more 'real' - why is that? - and just seems to have more weight, more substance, it seems to be more fully realised. No idea why. Maybe it's just me :D

True. Spotify is my only way of consuming music and I am glad that songs like Sunset Driver are finally on spotify. For some weird reason, Ultimate Collection has been missing from spotify for many years, when it used to be previously on spoitfy.
I'm so aggressively annoyed about this lol. They need to get it sorted and back on there.

I think the only reason I can think of them removing Ultimate Collection is that they plan to release unreleased songs on it on future albums or anniversary editions.

Hell no....we didn't even get dangerous or history let alone the least selling album of his catalog. Knowing them...they probably will re-release it as it is....nothing more, nothing less

Oh well, I guess we are all on the same page,. expectations managed. Though since this is Thriller 40 positive page, let's close this offshoot here. If anyone wants to discuss/speculate Invincible 25, feel free to start another thread.

Soooo happy to see the love for "What a Lovely Way to Go"!!! I am quite sure it's my favorite song on the album.

A friend of mine told me he tested positive for Covid-19 (as this is a thread only for positive things, I'm writing it here). What a Thriller! I told him not to worry, it's part of the Human Nature to get sick. Nonetheless I had to tell him to Beat It as well, because I didn't want to catch it too.

Didn't you also tell him that it can be Dangerous and Leave me alone. Whatever Happens, he should stay Behind the Mask.

Sure, I also told him it's Too Bad I had to Scream at him, but at the same time to Keep The Faith and that he shouldn't feel Threatened by that virus. I mean, Is It Scary? Yes. But does anyone need Morphine when catching Covid? Of course not. It's not that Bad.

So thanks to @Hiker I have now heard What A Lovely Way To Go and I LOVE IT!! It indeed has that drinking song vibe, as if Michael's behind a pub piano just beatboxing and singing along, and the whole crowd goes along with it. Stellar! 😍 🥰 This wasn't planned on my part at all, but I welcome it!

Raise your drinks, my friends. 🍻
