Watched this video for the first time since its release today.

I am the only one who notices the similarities between this and 'Scream'?

I'm surprised Mj or Jj didn't sue for such a blatant rip off!
 
The 'No Scrubs' music video was visually inspired by the 'Scream' music video.

This happens a lot in the music industry, and legally there is nothing wrong with that.

This means that Michael Jackson or Janet Jackson could not sue TLC for those similarities.
 
If somebody is going to sue for No Scrubs, then MGM could sue for the Smooth Criminal video, since it's based on 1953 movie The Band Wagon. šŸ˜† Also the Beat It video is based on West Side Story. A lot of entertainment is copied from something else. Quentin Tarantino wouldn't have a career without it.
 
Should Frank Sinatra have sued Michael for the Smooth Criminal video?
 
This thread is a hot mess lol. Concepts are used and reused all the time, whether in paying homage or straight up theft. Legally there's nothing to be done except to just b*tch about it on the Internet and social media lmfao.

I never truly understood the "story" in the Scream video... if there is any.
